Don't think I have an all time fave, but really love a good game of Scrabble and Monopoly!

I guess my favourite (based on how much I've played it) is Monopoly. Been playing it for about 10 years (maybe more) and am still rubbish. Doesn't mean I don't know too much about it though graemlins/blush4.gif

"Cranium" is hella fun. But you need a big group to play. I like "Sorry" & "Trivia Pursuit", too. I'm sorry but Monopoly just lasts wayyyy too long!

Rock Trivia (an extremly outdated rock trivia game of my Dad's that my brother and I recently got into, but we like because there's an entire category devoted to The Beatles)

Uno's my favorite game; I play it with my co-workers and when I visit my parents. I also play Yahtzee with my boyfriend.

It's played with five dice...and has tons of rules, and mirrors life in that you can take chances and keep rolling...but you just might Cosmically Wipeout! So, to wipeout or wimpout? The ultimate cosmic question...well, almost. images/icons/wink.gif

I used to love that game. I played it a lot in college, and a few times I came close to really enjoying it, but there was never enough Chianti in the bottle to convince everyone that "strip-wimpout" would be a fun way to spend the evening... graemlins/devil7.gif

For the uninitiated, this was a game with five dice with patterns in place of die pips, one a different color from the other four with a "joker" icon, where you tried to roll sets of patterns on all five dice, then decide if you should press your luck and keep rolling, mindful that if you failed to roll another straight you'd lose all the points you'd accumulated. Think a combination of YATZEE and craps, with elements of 501 thrown in, and that should explain CW.

I had to learn that game and a few others in college, because by the time I got there the old wargame crowd had died out. I was addicted to the old Avalon Hill and SPI releases, mostly strategics like THIRD REICH, 1776, THIRD WORLD WAR and the like. I can't touch any of my collection right now, but the minute Jamie can consciously fight the urge to put little paper-and-cardboard counters in his mouth... (SFX: evil chortle)

Monopoly is my favorite one, definitely... though Trivial Pursuit is a close second, and Yahtzee, too (though, very techincally, that's not a 'board' game).

Monopoly, Trivial Persuit and Scrabble. I'm pretty good at Scrabble. but I usually lose when I play the other two!

I always enjoy playing "Encore" at Lynner's house....but it drives me crazy the next day when I think of answers I couldn't think of when the pressure was on!

I, too, thought that no-one else has heard of this game!! Yeah, the makers of that game sure like Styx. We both hate the "Rock Art" category, it's just so obscure and really hard. At first I didn't realize how old the game was until I got the question: "What is Steven Tyler's wife's name?" The answer given was Cyrinda Fox, but I know for a fact they were divorced in the early 80s and he is now married to Teresa! (I saw Behind the Music: Aerosmith)

That Beatles category is really easy, though for us Beatles experts. But we always pick it when we land on the "wild card" spot.

My favorite games are Life, Trivial Pursuit, Cranium, and Yahtzee. I also like the game Deutschlandreise, I played that alot when I was little.

When I was really young I liked to play Guess Who and Mouse Trap.

Does anyone remember the game Do the Urkel? I just saw it in my box of games, that was a weird game.
