Give Peace One Last Chance

Well, everyone...I just wanted to say that everyone here on Beatlelinks are wonderful people, and I am glad that I found this place. I also wanted to say that even though we all have our different opinions on the War, at least we have the Beatles to bring us together, right? No matter how different we all may be, we can always fall back on our love for the greatest band that ever was.

Today I'm going off to a protest in one last, desperate attempt to stop the war before it starts. I ask everyone here to do just one little thing - light a candle, hold a sign on
the corner, say a prayer, anything - even if you support the war - just something that shows we really have learned something from the Beatles music and the message of peace and love that it carried.

Make John and George proud up in Rock 'n Roll Heaven; make Paul and Ringo proud down here on Earth. I wish good luck to you all this weekend, no matter what you are doing or what goal you may have.

Yes, very well put PaulLuver69! I am very grateful to BeatleLinks also. There are a lot of wonderful and kind people here as you said all brought together by The Beatles and our love for them!

It's also great that we can discuss such a heated topic with respect for each other.

I think it's going to take an awful lot of prayers though to avert this war at all, but you can count me in!

And it hasn't started quite yet!
