When I get older and famous, I'm gonna have all my friends come on a tour with me, so I have people to hang out with in between concerts.

I hate that my parents are older, they seem to live a million miles away, and I don't get to see them often enough(lack of funds and a place to stay, they live with one of my sisters now), just worry every time I see them, that I will never see them again? My Mom is still one of my best friends...they are great parents, I miss them every day, talk to them a lot tough... guess you never get over being Mommy & Daddy's little girl...

This evening at Wal-Mart, "Twist and Shout" came on over the speakers and at practically every aisle I went down I could see people (customers and employees alike) singing along with the Beatles.

It made me so happy to know that people everywhere, in this age of rap and hip-hop, can still sing along with a true classic!! images/icons/grin.gif

I went to see the Monkess in San Francisco in 2001 at the filmore. I was right up against the stage and before the show they were playing music and when "Come Together" came on over their sound system everyone around me started cheering and we all began to sing along then came "Something" ect we almost made it to the end of Abbey Road before the opening act came on.. we were like hey play Abbey Road again.
I just thought it was so cool to see all those Monkees fans who loved The Beatles..

beatlelover45223, you know something funny when I was about 7 I use to watch the Monkees show reruns in the 70's and I always said I wish they had Monkees stuff like they have stuff on the Beatles, isn't that funny.. I was probably more a Monkees fan at first because of the TV show. I also use to collect Monkees cause I never could afford Beatles Stuff..
The concert was a lot of fun it was really packed and I was right up against the stange right under my Micky images/icons/smile.gif we were like reaching up and touching them, although the stage was kinda high the only thing we could reach was his boots.
They sounded pretty good except since I went in 2001 Peter has left the band.
