I would have to say that my New Years Resolution would be to write more often and with more consistency... I went through a spell this year where my ex tried to get me to stop writing, and it really put a lot of stress on me - that's the only way I know how to cope with anything!

Yeah, so either I keep writing or I go insane... lol graemlins/rolling3.gif
...just like that guy!!!

1. Get a job. (That's largely not under my control, unfortunately.)
2. Get the dent in my car fixed.
3. Write more.
4. Volunteer somewhere if I don't get a job.
5. Eat less convenience food and more home-cooked meals.

1. Avoid bad vibes and dark energy rather than stress and worry about it.
2. No longer let people who don't really figure in my larger scheme of things get to me and bring me down.
3. Write more prolifically.
4. Simplify things.
Try my hardest to Be and to Grow as much as I can, and to become closer to the Inner Light.

Our church service was all about this! It was so amazing and inspiring. Being a church of course, the topic was about spiritual goal setting. The brother talked about how easy it is to tilt the mirror of introspection a little and be able to analize other people, but the thing is to keep it focused on changing our own habits. He brought up many great ideas. He said once you introspect, then don't forget to couple it with specific goal setting. Then, to keep a chart, daily, as to how things are progressing....ie, being more patient with bad drivers, LOL....whatever the goal is....and finally keeping a more free form journal to get deeper still.
He talked about living in our habits, how we can develop bad habit-ats! images/icons/smile.gif So, my resolution is to update my habit-at!! I'd like to spend more time at the park with my kids. That's goal #1 right now!

I made a resolution today that in 2004, I am taking a vacation -- The Magical History Tour. I have wanted to do this ever since I heard of it. I am so excited--wish it was already time to go! Has anyone ever gone on this trip or do you know anyone who has? I would like some first-hand info from someone to tell me if it's worth it. I can't IMAGINE that it wouldn't be. I would love it no matter what! images/icons/smile.gif

I found info on the Magical History Tour on the Internet at http://www.toursandevents.com/beatles-main.htm. Apparently, this is the 20th year for these tours and lots of people take them. It's an all-expenses-paid type thing where everything is covered. The tours go to all kinds of Beatle places and you get to meet folks who knew them, like Pete Best, Louise Harrison, etc. Sounds cool. I sent away for a brochure.

My resolutions are ones that I think might actually be attainable at some point in the year:

1) Finish my story that I've been writing for two years!

2) Lose weight. Don't care how much, just lose some.

graemlins/laugh2.gif <font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Hey Maggie -- any guy who tries to keep you from writing when it is something you enjoy is NOT YOUR FRIEND! (I think you figured that one out!) Sounds to me like he was being "cruel to his woman and keeping her apart from the things that she loves!"

If he was so selfish and insecure that he was threatened by your creative impulses, he's the one with issues, and you are well rid of him! Just wanted to tell you that! images/icons/smile.gif
