thought everyone could talk about any Beatle stuff they got this holiday.

I got:
the Paul dvd
Behind Sad Eyes (book about George)
and from my daughter a little music thing that you turn a little crank and it plays Here Comes The Sun.

Nothin'. images/icons/frown.gif I got shirts, sheets and a bracelet.

But I'm going to buy myself a bass guitar in January! It's not a Hofner (can't afford that!), but it's a cool looking lefthanded violin style one, so it's sorta Beatley! images/icons/smile.gif

Well, I knew I was getting a lot of Beatley stuff for Xmas this year because I was at the store and picked it out when my boyfriend and I went shopping (he's given up on trying to find Beatle things for me on his own--I apparently have too much Beatle stuff!). I got "I Me Mine" and the Wingspan book, plus a Beatle calendar/daily planner thing with tons of very cool pics in it.

But I *did* get one Beatle surprise--a copy of the "A Hard Day's Night" book that was published in 1977 and has been LONG out of print. It has frame-by-frame stills from the entire film, as well as the entire script plus scenes that were cut out. I've been looking for that book for myself since I was about 13 years old, so it was a nice surprise! images/icons/smile.gif

Merry Christmas, all!

Cool, Tina, that AHDN book is GREAT! I remember buying it when it came out!

Well...Jim and I did get some cool Beatley stuff this year -- hubby got me the remastered Mind Games CD, and some friends of ours gave us a John and Yoko DVD from Canada called "John and Yoko's Year of Peace," AND the most AWESOME piece of artwork for our walls...a very high-quality scan of one of the Albert Marrion photos of the Beatles from 1961 graemlins/drool.gif , plus another picture just of John from the same era, beautifully framed...be still, my heart! Now we just have to find a place for it on the walls!!

Oh, yeah, duh--I also got the "All Things Must Pass" CD, too... and the Fun with the Fab Four DVD. Too much cool stuff for me to keep track of!

On the Beatles front, my brother gave me "A Hard Days' Night" on DVD. I also received nice poster from the White Album era, and I may have it framed. As for the non-Beatles front, I got my first DVD player (Whoo Hoo!), a power drill (more tools for me!), some new shoes, plus some new clothes.

After so many years, I finally got some Beatles stuff for Christmas! images/icons/smile.gif
From my cousin, I got a framed picture of the three Beatles (from 1995) I think standing with Chuck Schaden (Old Time Radio). From Santa, I got a DVD called "Fun with the Fab Four" and this also came with an Elvis DVD too. Oh! I also got, in my stocking, one of those Yellow Submarine mini-lunchbox (with thermos) ornament. I'm going to hang it on the tree today. images/icons/smile.gif I still have presents coming on Sunday, so maybe some Beatle items will be there too. images/icons/smile.gif

As I said at another post, my fiancee has given me the DVD of "A Hard Day's Night". Loved it so much I'd keep watching it till New Year's Eve...but my mum wanted to see the evening news so I had to leave the DVD player alone!

Well, almost everything I got was a Beatle book, which I'm overjoyed with! Especially since I've already got so many, and my mom didn't know which ones I had already. Amazingly, she only overlapped with one book. graemlins/teeth1.gif Most were original books, and one was a John Lennon comic book with *gasp* GOOD artwork! lol

Finally received Past Masters 1, so now I can truthfuly say that I know all the Beatles songs.

My sisters also got me the Rutles DVD without knowing what the heck it was. Good stuff. graemlins/thumbsup1.gif

Welcome, RubberSoul, from a fellow Massachusetts-er. (is that a word?)

I got the long, slender 2003 calendar with a black & white pic for each month. Very nicely done.
and my present to me from my two cats was four 1:18 scale diecast old Mini Coopers - one for each Beatle! (found on ebay)

I got one too...I bought my old one in such bad shape that it doesn't sound very good! Cool gifts everyone!!! I got Somewhere in England and Red Rose Speedway LPs, the Wingspan and Blackbird books, a little Beatles pocket mirror, a calendar.... The most unique thing was an old sheet music book, I'm guessing from 1968 as it advertises The White Album as the "newest and greatest album." My uncle found the music at a garage sale and saved it for Christmas for me!

Ok, first it wasn't Beatle related but my son is home for 2 weeks(if I had nothing else under the tree that would have been the best Christmas ever! We went to a flea market the Sunday before Christmas and wouldn't you know they had tons of Beatle stuff, and me with no money! To my surprise on Christmas morning under the tree was everything I saw at the flea market!! My son and hubby took turns keeping me busy while the other one went and bought up all the stuff! Anyway I ended up with the 45's Yellow Submarine, Yesterday, Love Me Do, and Hard Days Night., John's In His Own Write book in mint condition, Beatle Fun Kit printed in 1964, Hard Days Night Book printed in 1964,a poster of the Beatles that came out back when they were advertising films on Beta.
And on top of all that they surprised me with a DVD/VHS player, Paul's new cd,Hard Days Night DVD, 2 Beatle calendars and Wingspan-Paul McCartneys Band on the Run book.
Can't beleive how lucky I am. My son was cracking up watching his 52 year old mom dancing in place, tears running down my face and saying OMG OMG, with each present I opened! I'm very lucky, blessed and loved!!!

A Let It Be video with black and white additional footage. Very good in that it shows The Beatles all having fun together, as opposed to most of the Let It Be that is in color and was released as a film.
George laughs with Paul, John sings a parody of HELP, Paul about wets himself he's laughing so hard. It is a happier Beatles than the rest of the color film shows.
