HELLO EVERYONE!!! I HAVE FINALLY MADE THE MOVE!
I am now in my very own appartment, and I would have said something sooner, but I only just got my phone service. The only thing we are waiting for at the present moment, is the allowance of my dog....I did say before that she would be allowed, but the landlord went back on their words, and said that although they did say pets would be allowed, it also WASN'T in writing...so there....I have to wait...till they say pets are allowed, and my social worker, is currently working on getting my dog in with me as a disabled persons dog, etc..( yes I am a disabled individual, although I don't dwell on it )..so now we are just waiting for Tilly...

Thats all from here! Cheers!

Congratulations Liz, that is great! I hope you have settled in and made yourself at home. Enjoy it! I know how great and independent I felt when I got my own little apartment.
Good luck on getting your doggie in, that is so mean to go back on something like that but I'm sure it will work out!

Good luck in your new place. Hope Tilly joins you soon.
Backin the day, we used to improvise a blues song sort of tongue in cheek with the name Tilly in it.
"My Aunt Tilly bought me a brand new pair of shoes,
And they're already bent out of shape."

I'm just wondering, do you have a guide dog or a service dog? If you do, they should be able to allow those kinds of dogs in any apartment you choose. If they don't, it's against the ADA (I think). I know a couple of people guide dogs and someone with a service dog. They live on their own. I wish I could live on my own. images/icons/smile.gif Good luck in your new apartment! images/icons/smile.gif I'm sure you'll have a fun time.

-Kristi<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Tilly isn't neither, but we plan on....uh registering her as such a dog, I think I believe a service dog, one of which who helps a disabled person, like for me, she'll be a companion and someone to keep me company when i'm lonely, like for my depression, a guard dog, I can't explain its...its kind hard. I will let you know for sure thou ImaginePeace.

Congratulations, MaccaTwst9! graemlins/thumbsup1.gif You're going to love having your own place - it's a lot of fun. The freedom is great! I hope you'll be able to keep your dog with you. It's terrible that your landlord went back on their word!

I just wanted to update you all.

It is now June 28th. I still LOVE my apartment, I enjoy being my independant self. Everything has been moved in. I now have a living room thats decked out in John Lennon stuff, which is certinly a conversation piece when someone walks in "Ohh I see someone likes John Lennon" .. and then theres my bedroom, all decked out with Beatle and Paul McCartney stuff.. hehe "keep it in the bedroom" .. um that was corny, but anyways. I just found three more John posters to put in my living room, and guess what!.. HE MATCHES MY COUCH!!!!!!.. hhahahaha. He'll go with anything, he's wearing basic black. -fans self-

Anyways, one day when I have a digital camera, I will take pictures of my Beatle/John Lennon apartment and share with you all. For now you can use your minds images/icons/grin.gif

Love and Peace to all

~Liz

Oh yeah.. news on Tilly too.

Turns out that Tilly can't live with me, so she lived with my parents for a full year while we awaited word on what my landlord had to say. They went to the board, and asked, and they said no. So .. Tilly now lives with my Uncle Mike and My Aunt Jane, and cousins Mary, Molly and Marcie.

Tilly is very happy there, which is for me very exciting news, as I want the best for my baby.

However, at the board meeting they did say that Cats will be allowed, so when I get a job, i'm getting a cat or a hamster (such cute lil things!)

That is all

graemlins/wave2.gif *welcome back Liz, I don't think we've met, good that you are an independent person in your own digs, enjoy, too bad you couldn't have your baby Tilly with you, how about a dog that is a cats size, there are lots of little apartment size dogs out there and cleaner than cats too, do you have a place to let a litte one out? I am a dog lover, have had cats my whole life and missed so much not having a dog till I bought a house, am hooked on dogs, mine are small, I have a 5lb. Maltese(Chelsea), she is darling, good luck in your new place, guess we will be seeing more of you here at the Links

Welcome back, Liz!

It sounds like you're doing great! That Beatles-themed apartment sounds awesome. I'm sorry to hear that Tilly won't be able to live with you, though. That's a bummer. Anyways, all the best with your new apartment! images/icons/smile.gif

Seriously though, that's too bad about your dog, but good luck with the cat and/or hampter! graemlins/teeth1.gif

LOL i'm barely getting by with what the gov't sends me. But someday, I'm going to have it all back again, and I wont need the gov't to help me. That is my goal. Also, to move out of this place and get me my doggie back!
lol, well i'm sure that my cousin marcie wouldn't like that sooooo, i'll just have to get me a dog that I have always dreamed of, an Old English Sheepdog, or a Golden Retriever! graemlins/drool.gif

Cheers to all and thanks again!

A John couch is too cool for words. Do you have a George lamp? I once cut the fringe on a lamp shade somebody threw out to resemble George's hair...I was a child at the time!

Yeah, that artist who paints John. Nice woman. Very talented. She was at the fest in Chicago last year and I hope she's coming this year as well. Some of her work appeared in the Rooftop Sessions book. You ought to ask Lennon4, er, I mean, this very talented artist to do some John work for you. You might want a nice picture of Paul to add to the ones in the bedroom. graemlins/smile1.gif

Teehee, nice big... poster *innocent look* over my ... bed.. will be niceeeee..*giggle*

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! ... um well i'm sure shes pretty good and all, the only thing I have concern about is money. I dont have the money to pay for one, or to frame it or anything. So we'll just have to wait and see.. till I get a job, till I get myself a new wardrobe when I get that job, and then some other things, so ill check back in with ya around 2005 or 2006, k? LOL

MACCA RULES!
