Dogs are much better natured animals than cats. I love dogs! I'm highly allergic to cats and I know they sense that and are always coming up to me! Cats are meanies! graemlins/angry11.gif

I would say dogs, if it wasn't for the fact that my dog chewed up my Milk and Honey CD the other day! graemlins/angry9.gif

I like cats, but nothing beats a cuddle from a great big dopey black labrador!

Our dog is the best. She just lies around and is so tempremental that she literally wouldn't hurt a fly (because she's scared of them). If you're feeling low or down she'll come over, gives you a lick and sit next to you awaiting the big hugs she's come to expect images/icons/wink.gif

She's 10 now and still going strong images/icons/smile.gif There's a little arthritis but nothing that stops her from being a big old puppy. images/icons/smile.gif

Dogs are cool, especially the big sweeties like
Labs and such. However, I prefer cats!! They
choose to love you rather than just relying on
instinct, and are highly intelligent. They can
be just as playful, and cuddle up with you when
you're ill or just feel down. If a cat loves
you he or she is very affectionate!

But otherwise, cats are the pets for me! We have four cats and I love them all, but especially our huge, yellow cat. He is such a love. graemlins/heart2.gif

Your dog is LOVELY, Harb! She's a beaut! What's her name?

I love both! It's hard for me to choose one over the other as I find they both have great qualities.

These days I have a cat (as I don't have much space for a dog to run about). He's great company & can be quite the character. Sorry, I don't know how to get a pic in here, or I share a pic of him with you all.

Labs are wonderful; they have good personalities and are VERY loveable. We used to have 2 black labs when I was growing up, and my boyfriend's family has one, too. She is the biggest baby in the world--when we leave to go on vacation, the minute she sees the suitcases come out of the closet she starts moping. images/icons/smile.gif

Dogs make me allergic, but that's okay cuz I WAY prefer cats! I love how they choose who to trust and love and don't fawn over everyone indiscriminately. My cat loves me to death, and tolerates my husband, but only because he knows that he, the cat, is king, and I, his favorite subject, am pleased by the presence of the big, stupid male human for some reason. He is a good king.
He is eternally being grabbed by coyotes and foxes, but he has always, for 7 years, prevailed. He carries the undignified name "Babycat" that I gave him when he fit in one hand, although he now weighs close to 15 pounds. My husband calls him "Vile Creature". (He likes him, but it's supposed to be a secret--I catch him patting him when he doesn't think I see, and Baby kindly lets him).
If I were an animal, I would be a cat.
I had a cat in California, and I swear he preferred John over me--whenever he would come over, the cat would attach himself to the man.It was okay, though. John loved cats, too. It broke my heart to have to have that cat put to sleep, but he got leukemia and was suffering. He was a huge, black Maine Coon cat named Galen.

Cats. I've had a few. Tommy, Jerry and Speedy.
Tom and Jerry were brothers and Speedy, well we found her and she was so fast....!
Then I had one called Niks (Dutch for nothing) and one called Nada (Spanish for nothing). The cat we have now is called Silly (short for Sylvester, he had that name already), the kids wanted to call him Nothing, but we decided against it.
When I still lived with my parents we had dogs. Jackie (my mom named him after Jackie Kennedy/Onasis), Donnie, Juno and Ivo. The last two were German Sheperds.
I love dogs as well, but when you have to work all day, cats are easier and Silly is like a dog. He loves to play with dogs!

Definitely dogs. Cats are ok, but I'm slightly allergic and therefore wouldn't want one in my house. And please, after spending all day with people with attitude problems, the last thing I'd want is to come home to an animal with an attitude problem! images/icons/smile.gif

Unfortunately, I'm not home enough to have a dog right now, but maybe when I'm older and not out rushing around quite so much. (Oh, who am I kidding...I'll be rushing around when I'm 70!!)

I'm sort of both, I think. I've always had both, but right now I only have one cat... she rules the roost! I had to get rid of my two beautiful Boxers a while back when I moved into my new place (it doesn't allow pets, although I sneak my cat). I think I do melt more when I see those puppy doggy eyes! images/icons/smile.gif

I definitely prefer dogs. Cats are nice, but dogs are so much more loving, and they're always happy to see you. I can't have pets where I live, but as soon as I graduate I'm moving to a place that allows dogs! graemlins/smile1.gif

I like dogs better better than cats because even if ultimately both are using you for food and shelter as some would say atleast the dog will put on a good show and act like it loves you. I've seen maybe two cats in my lifetime that snuggled and didn't snub their owners after long vacations.

I love both cats and dogs(actually I love all animals). When my sons were little, they both had a cat. My youngest called his Mr.T, and he had the markings of a skunk..he loved to hide under the bushes and jump out at people when they came to the door. Now we have just a dog, Nikki is part cocker and springer spaniel, and spoiled rotten(she's laying under the Christmas tree right now..waiting for Santa I think)I swear she's part human..she has a chair she sits in when she's hungry and a chair she goes around when she wants out. She hates to ride in the car, if you ask her if she wants to go for a ride, she lays on the floor, holding her right leg in the air, as if to say, cant go in the car, my foot hurts. I could go on and on about the crazy things she does, but you get the general idea. She's spoiled rotten and loved to death.

I love both! I'd like to get a dachshund or a pug to keep my big ginger tabby company. For all you cat dislikers, my cat would change your mind... he's the ultimate cat-hater-converter. My dad used to scoff at cats until he got to know mine; now he loves them! He even swiped a Cat Fancy magazine from the doctor's office to show the featured cats (Japanese bobtails) to me.

I'm a cat person, through and through. Just ask Ginger, my adorable "little" 9 year old black and white alley cat. I love animals, but I'm just more inclined towards cats, and they seem to like me, too!

I think I was brainwashed at a young age when I read the Garfield comics. I can't stand the smell of dogs. It makes me nauseous.

Cats choose to love you and they are so intelligent. When Ginger looks at me, I know she knows I'm her "mom". I've raised her since she was a tiny kitten and we've always had a special bond. She's my "babykitty". images/icons/smile.gif
