Are you all trying to show me the tops of you underwear??!!
I don't know if this is a new fasion trend or if it's all just accidental, but lately I've noticed that everywhere I go I see young ladies (most of them good-looking) crouching down and exposing the tops of the waistbands of their panties to anyone who cares to look!! Is this deliberate? Are you all wearing your Levi's too low? Is this your way of flirting with me? Or are you just being careless? Or do you even mind that anyone's looking?
Last month I was at the grocery store and there was a good-looking, long-haired brunette next to me that was crouching down to read some magazines. As God as my witness, she was exposing a full 4 inches of butt crack!! I'M NOT KIDDING!!! Apparently, she wasn't even wearing any panties under her ultra-low jeans!! Not that I minded looking, ya understand!! graemlins/eyebrows.gif
So how 'bout it, gals? Are you all doing this deliberately?? Or are all these "flashers" I see just a bunch o' sluts??!!

Hey Dave, I think it's just the fashion. I don't think they're trying to flirt with you and I don't think they're necessarily...uh...loose women (I was trying to think of a nice way to put that!). It's difficult to find jeans these days that AREN'T low-riding (although, trust me, with my figure, I find them, thank god). Most of the time, they're probably either unaware or uncaring that they're flashing you. Personally, it's a fashion trend I can't stand, but I'm not really young enough to wear it anyway!

I admit I like wearing my jeans on the low side so they're pretty much resting on my hips. I like the way they feel and look. But I definitely try to make sure no undies are showing when I'm bending down. I think you are just seeing a bunch o' sluts.

Speaking of sluts, bear in mind Dave lives in the San Diego area...need I say more? No offense to our female San Diegan B-Linkers, but UCSD is a well renowned party school. It's always shocking for me going down to even the Mission Bay/Pacific Beach area, to visit my aunt. I must say I'm a bit surprised at the Vista area, though. Maybe Vista's cheaper for these college "students"? graemlins/shakehead3.gif

Well, you see, as fashion should have it super low riding jeans are cool. I even wear them. I wear underwear with them though...You can't wear "normal" underwear with low riders because then all you'd see is our underwear. That is why women wear thongs!
Although, I am not one of those cheap floosies that shows off her plumbers crack! I'll keep it to myself thanks...

Behave yourself DAVE!! LOL
I personally don't really care, as long as its not that risque I'm fine. I personally think ifyou wear the low rise and they are low enough that people see your underoos, then don't wear underoos. I hate seeing the sides of underwear peeking out of pants whether it be girls or guys! I have NO interest in what type of drawers(and YES, I said DRAWERS!)you are wearing today.

You know why I'm so gung-ho on this topic? I have a pre-teen daughter who's interested in those jeans (as does Dave). I tell her, "NO, not yet!" Trouble is, for me it'd be karma biting me in the butt. I grew up in the era of the first wave of these low rider jeans and wearing them (although I don't think ours were that low), tube tops, halter tops, string bikinis (crocheted, mind you)..giving my poor parents coronaries! Needless to say, I'm scared spitless knowing there's men out there gawking at these young girls! graemlins/afraid2.gif (Not you, Dave. I'm sure this brunette you mentioned was a young woman.)
Side note to Dave: Hopefully when Brittney and Veronica are older, Dockers will be "the thing" to wear. Let us pray...

I don't care for really low jeans, but if they're a tiny bit low, then it's not so bad. I make sure to keep my undies under them and wear a somewhat long shirt to cover if pantie-showage is unavoidable(thank god for Beatle t-shirts!).

Jeez, am I the only person who wears straight-leg, regular ol' standard Levis anymore??
The underwear peeking over the top of the jeans thing is just obnoxious--I've seen girls at the college I work at walking around like that. No WAY would any of our undergrad student workers at the preschool be permitted to dress like that! It looks bad enough on females... and on guys, egads...It looks like they're back in preschool playing dress-up with big people clothes. images/icons/tongue.gif

I guess if you've got the figure for them and feel comfortable with them (as Jami said she likes them), then go ahead. I don't feel I have the figure for it and would feel as if they were falling down, anyway. I think having your underwear show, regardless if you're male or female is tacky, tacky, tacky. Of course, since I lean on the conservative side of dressing, (unless it's a mini skirt!), I guess I would feel that way.

Nope, I wear 'em too, although I must admit to several pair of bell bottoms, too. They are waist high, though--no hip huggers on hips of this size, lol! If I was wearing hip huggers, you wouldn't see my undies though; I don't wear any! Also, since I had a double mastectomy nearly 20 years ago, no bras...I am completely undie-free!!!
I also wear a lot of skirts, but they are very long, flowy broomstick skirts. On top I wear either a t-shirt or, more often, a peasant blouse. I have a lot of those old ones with the mirrors on them.
I am also against America's crack problem.

I wear regular jeans. I don't like how girls/women are showing their underwear with the low rise jeans. Besides, I can't where low rise jeans anyway because I have some bad scars on my stomach and don't want the world to see them while I'm walking down the street or wherever. I wish I could find a pair of bell-bottoms that weren't 'hip huggers.' They always seemed like they were falling off. I like regular jeans that sit at your belly button, or a little above. Does anyone know where they have non-hip hugger jeans?

I alter them myself, using pieces from an old pair or contrasting material. You just open the seams up to the knees (both sides) and insert a V-shaped panel, then sew it up. Looks groovy!

Well, as for me, I do wear pretty low cut jeans, but mainly because I find 'regular' jeans amazingly uncomfortable! I can't stand them! Even when I was a little kid and you didn't have to wear low ones, I used to pull elastic wasted pants down to my hips cuz I hated them higher! However, I really hate seeing peoples underwear (or lack thereof!) also, I mean, I think it looks like you forgot to fix it if it's showing! I'd also like to say that thongs are more like 'non-underwear' in my opinion. images/icons/smile.gif They don't really serve any purpose, so why bother? Unless you are trying to show them, in which case I suppose they do do something...

graemlins/laugh4.gif Dave! You're hilarious!
I wear low-rise jeans. I do everything in my power to keep the undies out of view, but every once in a while there may be a little bit sticking out, without my knowledge, lol. I don't mind if a little bit of my back shows, but if the underwear show, I try to go for shirts that are a tiny bit longer. images/icons/smile.gif
My question is, how can people wear thongs?! What is the point of a string up your a**?!

Right??<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Well nooo, I for one am not deliberately showing anything naughty off images/icons/wink.gif . On me, I just think the lowrise effect just looks better for some reason... and feels better too. I've tried putting on some of my older "lady jeans" (that's what my sister and I call them) and they just feel funny on me now.
Someone asked about thongs.. I wear them every now and then if I'm going to wear a skirt. It's for panty-lines sakes... gotta hate those.

Dave, you are so funny!!!
Low jeans are sexy and more comfy, too.
With women, if you view the slight top of a thong...isn't that kinda sexy? A lot of questions are answered...for example, does this particular individual match underwear colors to their top?...and how about patterns? Maybe a solid color (black, red??)...or a Victoria Secret print? You can get many important questions answered before committing to say hello! images/icons/wink.gif

Right??<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Nope, I'm not deliberately trying to show my thong or whatever undies I have on when I'm wearing low riders. But if it happens, it happens. And if it turns a guy on, well I glad. images/icons/wink.gif

Jeez! Who would spend that kind of money on a bra! That's a ridiculous price for something one probably would not wear too often...

-Kristi<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Well, you could always pawn it - though I can imagine a LOT of uses for the money you'd spend on this piece... graemlins/wink3.gif
Anyroad, I can't say much about low-rises...Although they are quite a fashion over these shores (Brazilian jeans unfortunatelly got a fame for being TOO DAMN LOW), I'm faithful to my 501 Levi's with normal waist - it's not like I FIT on low-rise jeans anyway!

i cannot stand to wear low rise jeans. they're uncomfortable and just aren't very tasteful. i couldn't bear having people look at my ass. it's just not pleasant for them or me.

I finally found a nice pair of bellbottom jeans at the Gap (!). They are considered 'low rise' but they are not that low, they sit at my belly button, which is fine for me...any lower..no way. And the jeans are a size smaller than what I originally wear. images/icons/smile.gif

Glad to hear it! It's so cool that my ancient attire is back in style again, lol! I have tons of long, flowy, broomstick skirts and peasant tops, some with little mirrors sewn onto them.
People used to look at me weird, but now teenage girls say stuff like, "Ooh, that top is so cool! Where'd ya get it?" It's been so long, I can't remember, though... I could never get a new wardrobe cuz I couldn't find the styles I like, and now they are back. Yippee!

That's because it's not too much of a problem, what with all the thongs being worn.

I'm proud to say that I'm out of this "fashion" loop (thank goodness!). You can find whatever you want if you look hard enough and/or in the right places. Wal-Mart is perfect for me. Nobody sees me where I shouldn't be seen. graemlins/teeth1.gif
