graemlins/angry9.gif <font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I know what you mean, Amanda! I once bought a record frome some dude whose auction stated: "Please allow up to 30 days for delivery." I thought, "Hey, since we both live in California, it's NOT gonna take 30 DAYS!!"

Well, it actually took 2 MONTHS!! I ended up leaving him "neutral" feedback, and then the @ssh*le left me "neutral" feedback too (even though I sent him payment the day after the auction ended via PayPal), just to "get even" with me!! graemlins/images/icons/mad.gif

Speaking of Valentines....my dad and I have a sweet little tradition that started when I was a tiny little girl. Every year he sends me a valentine card signed (in shaky, badly disguised handwriting) "GUESS WHO". Then I call him and say "Hey Dad! I got a card from that Guess Who guy again this year!" and he disavows all knowledge. It's been particularly funny the years that I've moved..."Hey Dad! How did he know where to find me?" and Dad will say "Oh, I ran into him on the street and gave him your new address, but he made me swear not to reveal his identity...." It's so cute!

Anyway, this is a minor irritant because Dad's on a cruise - has been gone for 3 weeks and will be gone for 2 more! So I won't get my card this year! Wah! images/icons/frown.gif

Magill
Feb 12, 2003, 02:36 PM
Who knows, Rell. Maybe your Dad will run into him on the cruise graemlins/wink3.gif and it'll be sent to you overseas. It's not the 14th yet, ya know.

BTW, that's a cute little tradition you two have.

I miss getting my card and box of See's from my Dad. He died on 2-18-97. He managed to sign our last cards a couple weeks before he passed that year and Mom gave them to us while he was in the hospital. He was loyal to his daughters, and to a tradition he'd started many years before, even towards the end. It was very poignant and sad. Cripes, gotta go! graemlins/cry4.gif
