I saw Donovan at the Stone Poney Fri night and he was absolutely fantastic. I saw/heard his discussion at Beatlefest so I knew but he kept my attention the entire 2 hours and it was like 95 degrees in there and the place was packed.
At Beatlefest he talked about Paul a lot but Fri night he said George was his favorite Beatle, and he told the story where John pats Mahareshi on the head and says, "Nice guru."
His voice was great, his guitar sounded fantastic, and I forgot how many great songs he had. My favorite was a brilliant performance of "Catch The Wind".
If anyone gets the chance, I highly recommend this show.

If I get the chance to ask Donovan a question during the Q & A session(s) at Beatlefest, I will ask him where he came up with Catch the Wind. It's such a beautiful song and one of my favorites by him.

Ooh--you are all so lucky!!! I would love to get to see Donovan sometime! I love his music (my mom turned me onto him--she's a huge fant--so much so that my older brother's middle name is Donovan!) I bet he must be great to see! Maybe someday (if I'm lucky!) he'll come out here to San Diego (I hope!!!)

Joan Jett, and Billy Idol for example, will be there soon. Last year I saw the Vanilla Fudge.
