Has anyone heard of this band?
I think they are from the US and are influenced by the beach Boys.They have been getting loads of press in the UK but I have yet to hear any of their stuff.

I've heard OF them, but I haven't heard them yet. The description I read did make them sound like something I might be interested in.

The lead singer, Robert Carmine, used to be Robert Schwartzman and was in the movie "The Princess Diaries". I love him in that movie, he's got the best Beatles haircut!

He was also at the concert for John Lennon on TNT a few years back. He sang "This Boy" with Sean Lennon and Rufus Wainwright.

I've been wanting to buy their album that was released last week, but the stores around here aren't carrying it. images/icons/frown.gif I'll have to try harder!

I just seen them this weekend! Dopo Yume (the band Sean Lennon is playing in) opened up for them. (BTW, Robert also used to be in Dopo Yume, a little trivia for ya'll! images/icons/wink.gif )

They rocked. I even bought a shirt. Haha.

Rooney is the coolest new band ever!!! I am so glad people have heard of them!!

I (pauluver69's cous, cheyla) am madly in love with Rooney. Their music totally rocks. Did you know that they have been compared to the Beatles in that some of their music sounds like them? Pretty cool.

Anyone should buy their CD, it totally rocks.
And also, Robert is so sexy!

Rooney has become my new favorite band besides the Beatles. Rooney and the All-American Rejects, too.

i got the cd last week after seeing these guys on mtv2. . . . it rocks!
not a bad song on it and it sounds like 70's power pop, (big star, cheap trick, badfinger . . . et al).
very cool sounds in these listless times of non-power pop.
