...well, okay - maybe not exactly across the universe, but across the border for sure. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif i'm off to mexico for a week. maddie and i will be going as leaders with a team of high school students to build houses for two families outside of tijuana. i'll miss you guys! see you soon!

Ooooh, I hope they still have the little bargains on the other side of the border just before you cross back into the States! That used to be one of my fave things to do, bargain will all the peddlers! I still have some VERY nice blankets! Hope you get a bargain or two, as well!

i have returned safe and sound. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif the trip was absolutely incredible! i am so thankful that everyone remained safe, and that we were able to finish both houses within the week. i fell in love http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/heart2.gif with the family i worked with. it was a family of seven, living in a home made out of cardboard and old shingles - smaller than a one-car garage. within a week, this family had a sturdy home to live in, and huge smiles on their faces. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif i got to practice my spanish (gracias, cristian), and to act as translator for the trip.

i could go on and on - but don't want to bore those who have graciously taken time to read this post. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif thank you again, for thinking of me.
