We had it in Chicago. We're both from large Catholic families and our wedding was pretty big. That's okay - we wanted it that way. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
We paid for it ourselves, so we did it the way we wanted. Rell' was on of my bridesmaid's. 6 months is a rather short time to plan a wedding, but it's do-able. Is Scotty's family picking out a place for a reception, or will it be held wherever the ceremony is? We had an afternoon wedding at our church (my husband and I lived in the same area and belonged to the same church), Our reception was at a banquet hall, not too far from where we live with about 300 guests for dinner and dancing. I had a blast!

Ok I admit, I'm kind of glad to have a lot of people attend so that we can get gifts. We need a LOT of stuff and we're far from rich. We're getting married and having the reception in a church in Ontario near where he lives. We decided to have the wedding in Canada instead of Utah since he has more family that will go (only about 5-8 people in my family would go). I'd rather have it there though, so I'm happy.

We haven't even started! What's the first thing we need to do? Besides rent the church for a day. We're pretty much lost when it comes to planning a wedding; good thing we have his mom.
