Ok, if you've ever had one of those really annoying teachers you'll understand where I'm coming from. I wrote this just to tick my English I Honors teacher off, it seemed to work.
(You'll understand this better if you understand what Allusion is. It's a reference to something from the past that head to deal with mythology, literature, or pop culture) (Not Illusion mind you)
She never found that the entire poem was actually one allusion after the other!

See if you can find the allusion in my poem.

Allusion
Sitting on the rooftop of the North church tower,
Hold me in your arms, point out the constellations
Discovering ones never to be seen before
Pearls of colored prisms raining down like dreams.
See me, who I am and who I’m not
Did you die?
Or have you always been what you are,
An Allusion.
Fog like changes, smokily drifting away
Illustrations in the night skye, celestial voices look out
Speaking around yourself, creating mystery in a place unkown.
Is the mystery already there.
Tragedy is overrated, dreams not trusted enough.
Could cries from the past just now be heard.
For the people to understand, authority can not be destroyed.
Am I asleep, ask someone who doesn’t know.
Cosmic colours, city cops runnin’ round,
Rock & Rolling, Spinning ‘round the royal Writes.
Sitting, selling sodas for season sessions,
Alliterations asking all the already answered questions.
Is this a dream?
Tears fall but sympathy’s not felt…
Or are they?
The truth is hidden in their lies.
