Someone sent me a MP3 file of a song called
'Younger Girl' by a band called The Critters.

Must say I never heard of the band before. It is a mid sixties New York band who played songs by John Sebastian, Vinnie Poncia and by themselves.

Well, I listened to this song and it feels very good. Real mid-sixties music, I downloaded some material and can certainly advise you to have a listen to their music.

Some songs;
Don't let the rain fall down on me,
Mr. Dieingly sad
Bad misunderstanding

Cool cherry cream and a nice apple tart
I feel your taste all the time we're apart
Coconut fudge - really blows down those blues
But you'll have to have them all pulled out
After the Savoy truffle.

Mr. Dyingly Sad, a 1967 song was their signature song.

The Critters were an ersatz version of the Lovin' Spoonful.

I LOVE the Lovin' Spoonful!

I've heard of Young Girl by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, but not Younger Girl.

One 60's sone that is a recommended listen is 'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore' by the Walker Brothers
