PaulsPrincess is right, 40. I added 1964 because not only did the Beatles come to America in 1964, but 1964 has been hailed as the Year of the Beatles.

I explained this in the lost thread Jami and Jerry mentioned, but I don't mind explaining it again. My favorite song is "Strawberry Fields Forever," and I'm also a science fiction/fantasy writer. Abbreviating the song title the way I do allows me to express both my passions in one username.

HMVNipper
Mar 15, 2002, 04:30 AM
Back to usernames...mine comes from the fact that back when I started going online, having a username that was obviously female was NOT a good thing, so I needed something gender-neutral. At the time, I worked for the parent company of RCA Records -- and I'm sure you all know that picture of the little dog with the Victrola that is RCA's trademark? Well, the painting the logo is derived from is called "His Master's Voice" (hence, HMV) and the little dog's name is Nipper. And so, thanks to my husband, who thought of it, I became HMVNipper! Voila!!

How many Beatles does it take to change a light bulb?
4: John to come up with a light bulb,
Paul to claim half of the light bulb,
George to complain his lights bulbs are never considered,
and Ringo, to actually change the light bulb.

Amalthea is a Jupiter's moon... since I love astronomy, and I love Jupiter as a planet (so fascinating), when at first I had to choose a nickname for internet, I got this one http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
Actually, it shows also my love for ancient Greece, since Amalthea was the goat who fed Jupiter up, when he was hidden from Crono so that he could become the new Olympus reigner... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Rellevart
Mar 15, 2002, 04:54 AM
Back in the early 80's, I was very involved in the Beatles pen-pal circles and we all had nicknames based on some favorite song or whatever. Mine was Backwards Traveller. One year at Beatlefest, we were getting matching T-shirts and were putting our names on the back so we could find each other and "Backwards Traveller" was too expensive with all those letters! So, voila, "Rellevart"! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif Hadn't used it in years until this forum came along!

It is a pretty good song, an underrated album, a record label, and pretty much a life philosophy conceived by mr. George Harrison. The total concept of the "dark horse" who no one believes in but ends up winning the carrer... of life, that is. I was totally identified by that. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I had trouble thinking of a creative user name. So, I thought of one of my favorite Lennon songs 'Imagine.' One of the things Lennon was for was Peace, and people have said I'm a peaceable person. The 78 is the year I was born. That's how I came up with ImaginePeace78.

Okay, if it's not already incredibly obvious I'm a Paul fan (hence "Paul") and my first couple choices were denied so I thought, hmmm...why not go for a corny alliteration. Being that I'm a female I thought PaulsPrincess was feminine yet cheesy, (for whatever reason that seemed oddly appealing at the time)...now it's grown on me and I gotta admit I think it's sorta cute http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink3.gif
