I went to a solo acoustic concert by Dave Edmunds on Saturday night - very cool! Some of you may know him from being in Ringo's All-Starr Band a couple of times and some may just know him because....well...you know him! And many of you may not know him at all! Anyway, that guy can play guitar! Wow!

It was a tiny venue - a bar where I see a number of local bands, actually. We had quite a big group of people and were standing right in front, to the left of the stage, so we had a great view. He did a lot of instrumentals (kind of dissapointing because I would have like him to sing more), including a Mozart piece, of all things!! He did an amazing instrumental version of "Lady Madonna", which I'd heard him do last year with the All-Starrs....he just RIPS on that guitar! Very impressive. He looks great after last year's heart surgery and acted like he was having a great time!

Just thought I'd share that with any of you who might be interested. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

If I was Dave doing an accoustic, I would start a part of 'someone's knocking on the door' moving in to his all time classic 'I hear you knocking'. The chords are not so much different anyway, with a little reaggae in it

Thanks for the report, Rell'! I was waiting for an email from you, but I know you're probably busy so...Glad to hear he put on a good show and that you had fun!

I Hear You Knocking was one of John Lennon's favorites when it came out. He played it constantly.
