Alright, the moment has arrived... This could become a bit of a controversial topic and everything, but since we're like a huge family, let's post our feelings about what's going on.

Because I trust none of us like war.

Yes, give peace a chance. I'm just really hoping there won't be any retaliations on US soil. I'm so looking forward to going there for Christmas and I'd hate to see something happen where I couldn't go for whatever reason. Let's hope it all ends quickly, though I doubt it's going to be over soon.

hate war!!! It never solves anything
and its always the inocent who get hurt!

I also think the attacks are necessary. After the Cole was bombed, nothing was done, they felt invincible and kept going on to a larger mission, and they really went too far this time.
All this talk about their revenge is wishful thinking. It will not be so easy for them anymore. They are no match for the coalition formed against terrorism and for world peace. It is unfortunate that we need to war for peace but there is no other way under the current circumstances. How dare they go around the world killing innocent people and expect no retaliation.

I don't know, but I don't like war, and I always hope that some sort of dialogue could solve problems. Obviously dialoguing didn't work out at all this time, so the solution is not there... I don't know really, but war is sad.

Plus know that the Chilean Government, just like all of the South American countries, are supporting USA's military actions.

I agree with Jami, it is necessary for us to root out terrorism where it lives. I feel badly that some innocent Afghani people might suffer worse for this, but I do feel that we need to do something. And I also want to see Bin Laden die slowly and painfully. I'm not generally a vindictive person like that, but in this case, I'm sick of seeing his scummy ugly mug on the television and listening to his hateful rhetoric...and I won't be happy until they're showing us his broken, bloody dead body on the evening news instead.

I don't like war, I think it stinks...but these people who attacked the United States don't understand reason and diplomacy, they only understand bombs and guns and missiles. Fine, so let's give it to them if they want it so badly.
