USA Floods

I have read about Jami having flood problems in her area, but are there others members who are troubled by the flooding in USA?

I believe parts of Texas and Missisippi are having flod problems, as well as Louisiana.

Hurricane/Flood Allison stormed into parts of Texas and Louisiana with a vengeance. Several counties in the Lone STARR State have had severe flooding and Houston has been hit especially hard. Austin has been spared Allison's wrath.

BTW, Allison was never upgraded to a hurricane. The winds didn't reach the 74mph minimum required for hurricane status.

Tropical Storm Allison landed around Galveston Thursday and then slowly worked its way ENE through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The last report I saw, Allison was in the Florida panhandle.

Thanks for the head's up about the distinction between a hurricane and other natural disasters. Folks at work called Allison a hurricane and heck, I just repeated what I heard.

Glad we don't need to send out a fleet of Yellow Submarines.
