I remember that day all too well. They were in LA at a campaign function and were going to leave through the kitchen in back. Then the shot rang out. Watching the news that night I was very much sadden as to what had happen to a good man.
Almost five years prior, his own brother was gunned down in Dallas. I kept thinking things like this are not suppose to happen. Why are there such imbecile people in the world that want to take away a noted statesman. The Kennedy's had had so much trouble before and now this was to be added.
I still get a sentimental feeling every time I hear Dion DeMucci's song "Abraham, Martin And John".

Yeah, I get that same feeling each time I hear "If I Had a Hammer," RFK's campaign song the Spring of 1968.
