Alright I've shared some of my poems on another non Beatle message board and many others shared their writings over there as well, so I'll try it here.
Carrying Words
While love has no chance to grow
and hope is gone within every eye
When fear shows
We will be carrying words
Words of love and hope
When people still are searching
New horizons continue to show
then faith has a chance to grow
We will be carrying words
Helping people to cope.

Here's one I wrote a few years ago. It's published so don't go stealing it. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
The Story of a Computer Virus
-----------------------------
Spreading inside the computer hard drive,
Like bees swarming inside a hive.
The virus that I'll call Sid,
Plays around like a two-year old kid.
He stops the computer, DOS and all,
And stops CD games from being installed.
Little Joe cries, mum begins to panic,
Calls dad at work screaming "We need a mechanic."
When dad got home his heart stopped dead,
He wished that he had spent the day in bed.
Because CD's were chewed up in the drive,
The monitor was dead, but Sid felt alive.
Into the internet Sid now travels with glee,
Singing to the world "You can't catch me!"

Under what (or who) exactly will you be 30 years from now.

Under the hill, of course. And 6 foot as in the measurement... at least that's the common slang term we use here when someone 'kicks the bucket' (that's another).

Always happy to learn. We do have various Aussie TV series/films here from which I pick up these things, since I am interested in languages and dialects.

No, I do not know of these two. We have various but I don't know the series names. A few are related to schools, which my kids watch, others are family and action series.
We used to have Flying Doctors.
Ofcourse there is Neighbours, but that is more for the UK Soap audience.

The only 'school' type ones that come to mind would be Neighbours, as you mentioned, as well as Home And Away... and also Heartbreak High. I wonder if you get a show called Seachange? I bet you had Skippy though at some point or another. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/bouncing2.gif

Big Brother is Dutch from origin !!
This has now been followed by Big-Diet (you don't wanna know) and Starmaker.
Starmaker is for young people >20, who want to be a star, so they are like Big Brother in a house and get trained. Musicians and singers. That is not so bad I must say. Will probably spread out as well.

Ahh, interesting... was the Dutch Big Brother house the one that got invaded by 10 uninvited guests? I'm sure I heard something about that.
Big Diet? Haha, you're right. I don't wanna know.
What's Big Diet?????!
Starmaker noooooo... we have this thing here called "Popstars" and basically (sounds similar to what you have there) they form a pop group from thousands of hopefuls through auditions that just keep reducing the number down to the final 5. Very manufactured.

The French Big brother house got invaded ny people who wanted to "free" the people living in the Big Brother house.
You got the dutch television makers to thank for all of this very well made piece of manufactured rubish. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/barf2.gif

Interesting, they were probably still stuck back in 1799. I heard the Norway house was invaded too. The best we've had here is a failed parachute attempt into the backyard of the house, as well as a failed package drop.

Silent storms
Silent storms grow louder everyday, if they don't find a way you'll never be able to listen to your own heart.Don't let them rage inside of you, cry out where a heart is.
Inside of you lies truth
But the tide keeps rushing in
as your runing against the wind
Deep Inside you know you can fly
But these voices grow louder everday
If they don't find a way
you'll never be able to listen to your own heart.Don't let them rage inside of you, cry out where a heart is.
Silent storms grow louder everyday
building pain inside of you
Find a way to release what's inside
You know who you are and what's in your blood.
And only you know which way you want to go
So don't let the tide rush over you
Silent storms grow louder everyday, if they don't find a way you'll never be able to listen to your own heart.Don't let them rage inside of you, cry out where a heart is.
Inside of you lies truth
But the tide keeps rushing in
and your runing against the wind
Deep inside you know you can fly
But these voices grow louder everday
If they don't find a way
you'll never be able to listen to your own heart.Don't let them rage inside of you, cry out where a heart is.
Don't let the storm rage over you
Cry out where a heart is
Cry out where a heart is

Thanks for the poetry, Legs and Harbidge! Here's one of mine, currently in the Archives at www.rationalmagic.com: (http://www.rationalmagic.com:)
Your Sweet Summer
The sun has set too often in the sky
And banished now the days of burnished gold;
My love, even the sweet summer must die.
Once, passion burned me fiercer than July;
Beloved, your lack of heat left me cold.
The sun has set too often in the sky.
Having learned that my love was based on a lie
Has destroyed the small hope I tried to hold.
My love, even the sweet summer must die.
Heartbroken so long, without tears to cry
Out my pain, I cannot be brave and bold.
The sun has set too often in the sky.
To your cruel flirtations I cannot reply;
My rejected love was too often told,
"My love, even the sweet summer must die."
Understand this, then, when too late you try
To win me back; I’m past those days of old.
Your sun has set too often in my sky;
My love, even your sweet summer must die.

I've got other poems in the Archives at RM as well, plus a Lennon tribute poem at www.rooftopsessions.com. (http://www.rooftopsessions.com.) That's pretty long, though, so if you want to read it, I suggest you read it there. It's called "Nine Images of John Lennon."

This is one I wrote about David Kennedy almost 4 years after his untimely death.
Sonnet #25 David 4/17/88
He was his father's dear beloved son.
The middle child and smaller than the rest.
He had his father's drive to be the one
To try his hardest and to be the best.
His life detoured when he was 13
The night he watched his father die in pain.
His mind stood still when he knew what he'd seen.
From that day on he deemed his life in vain.
He died the spring when he was 28
A driftwood man who'd never come to shore.
Reality for him was not a bait
That he could hear above his ocean's roar.
The sympathetic ties that bound both men
Did represent a life that should have been.

Sonnet #36 Tin Soldiers/Repressionist Mentality 9/17/89
Tin Soldiers marched in straight lines every day
And never varied in the steps they took.
If they broke form there would be hell to pay
So they played safe and followed by the book.
One soldier tired to march off to one side
And change the format of the regiment.
That step had all the rest so terrified
Because they saw it as a detriment.
They sought to quell their fellow's innate urge
And tried to make him march in a straight line.
They feared a show of brilliance would emerge
And thus eclipse them in their narrow binds.
They did theirjobs; they tried to make him good.
They forced him into marching like he should.
BB1964
This was inspired by some Blue Meanies who taught me during the early years. Little did those harpies know just what they later inspired!

Sonnet
I love you and I will whenever time
Whatever place I am or I will be
While there are words that I can rhyme,
While inspiration powers me.
You sent me all your loving. In return
I will be writting down my fillings in a simple verse
While stars and planets slowly turn
Around the center of the Universe.
When people say I'm crazy I go mad
Because it seems they know it better
When sun is bright, and sky is sad,
And river sings: "It doesn't matter".
And now you see that I love you.
In Russian: "Ya tebya lublu".
