View Full Version : Do you believe in angels?

I know, kind of a corny subject line. But I thought since we just had all these spooky stories, I'd ask if anyone believes in angels? Has anyone had any experiences they're willing to share?

I generally have an 'I'll believe it when I see it' scope towards these kinda things. As for angels, I see one on the webcam almost every night... so I am definitely a believer. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

Yeah I believe in angels for sure.....I call them my guides.

I could share experiences with you but:

1) They usually are pretty straight forward stoires - no vision with wings or anything. Also I wouldn't know where to start....I have soemthing to do with them a lot of the time so which story to relate would be a question.

(AND)

2) You will think I'm even crazier then you do already - not that I mind all that much. I can't help it if you think I'm weird of if you don't believe me or whatever - that is nothing to do with me.

I guess I'm more of a "feet on the ground" kind of gal, but I'm also pretty openminded. So I'd never want to say "NO, for sure they don't exist" and I certainly would defend anyone else's right to believe what they want to believe. But me, personally, no, I've never had an experience that convinces me. (But Lucy, you're not crazy!!)

Yes, I believe that angels do exist. We have many different kinds of "angels" right here on Earth. Some are everyday people you meet and some you never see. I like to think that my son is my daughters' Guardian Angel. When they are at school or on field trips, he is watching out for them.

I believe that angels exist. It's a song by Robbie William.

I know, bad joke.

Honestly, I do believe that angels exist, but I don't believe the stereotypical view of them blowing trumpets and playing harps in gowns and huge wings. I believe them to be the guardians of us in mind and spirit, always prepared to help and save us if necessary.

I believe that Angels exist. From time to time I have encountered them. Some have been friends, some have been family.

On several of those occasions these angels have saved my life. For the ones that have passed on, I honor them and thank them every day. For the ones that are still here on Earth, I treasure them more because they are truly special individuals, a bit of heaven on Earth.

Interesting you should say that, http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cat.gif... when the girls were babies, sometimes when I was playing with them (on the bed, on the floor, in the bath), they would suddenly break eye contact, stop giggling with me, and look off with the most gorgeous baby smile on their little faces... once I asked if (I don't remember which one) they saw Brother Robby, and she started pointing where she was looking and grinned even bigger.

Yup, I believe in angels. Yup, I believe Robby is the girls' guardian angel. I think he's all of ours...

Thanks, 4thGen... It's been over 13 years now, and it still shocks me sometimes. On the other hand, most of the men in my family (I'm talking about blood kin here, so no wisecracks about http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cat.gif!!!) are local Howard Sterns and have absolutely no respect for themselves or anyone else. I'm not sure how I would have dealt with that type of behaviour out of my own son, it's hard enough to deal with out of my father, my brothers, my uncles... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry1.gif

Yeah, I believe in angels.

I like this topic! I hope more people respond to it! I admit that I am somewhat of a coward -- don't want to say more than I have already. Let's just say that I am a firm believer in angels.

Bearkat and Sleepyhead, you know our thoughts and feelings are with you for what you experienced with Robby.
I have two daughters and pray everyday that there will be a tomorrow when I can thank HIM for looking after them.

I believe there are some kind of guardian angels, or at least something/someone watching over us from time to time.

I experienced on various occasions that for some reason I did not do what I planned to do or at the last moment got a sort of sign, after which I thought 'somebody's watching me up there'.

And also the other side, example long time ago I did a foolish thing one evening and driving home I crashed and my car was total-loss. Punishment !!
