Here we go! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif Here is a topic devoted to missing whatever it is that you miss. I'll go first........
I sure miss John Lennon
I also miss these little chocoate and peanut butter brownies that they used to make by Little Debbie when I was little.
Also, I miss Elton John's music he used to make back in the 70's.
I miss talking to Lucy as much as we used to, but she's got Uni lately.......but that's almost all finished with now!
How about everyone else? What things or people do you miss? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I miss the days when every weekend I'd have my choice of 3 or 4 great bands to go see in local clubs....almost all the bands I used to love have broken up, changed format, left town, whatever....there's only one left now and I miss the variety!!
And I miss Cadbury Mini-eggs when it's not Easter time! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/drool.gif

Good topic, Jami.
More than anything on earth, I miss my four best friends from junior high (yes, that was a LOOOOOONG time ago). My best friend was Jessica and we got into the Beatles together in 8th grade, that was the BEST, I finally had someone that understood me! Then we met Melissa, Hye, and Veronika and the five of us were inseparable...until high school. That was the strongest bond I've ever had with anyone and I lost it because I didn't think I needed them anymore in HS. Boy was I wrong.http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif
I also miss the cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I TOTALLY had a crush on Raphael! Mmm-mm!http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Hello All, been a long time since I posted here. It hasn't been that I have not been visiting here at all, however, it is more so that I have been astounded at the lack of camaraderie. When I first started coming here, I enjoyed talking to people, and it really felt like a bunch of friends getting together to talk about a particular band that we all take pleasure in. Seeing people argue back and forth in a public chatroom keeps me away from sharing with you all. There have been some great people that I have met here and sadly, I have been reluctant to share my own feelings about anything on this forum as of recent because of the things that I have been reading. I just hope that I have been misinterpreting the situation.
Let's all just relax and have some fun http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/beer.gif

Wow Dreamer....I'm sorry that you feel that way because I remember reading your very interesting and insightful posts when you first came around. I think there is a great deal of camaraderie going on here (I'm thinking of all the support people get when they mention surgery, exams, breakups, etc.), but it's just human nature that not everybody is going to get along all the time. Especially when you have such a large group of people from completely different places, age groups, interests, etc! I hope you'll stop by more often and look for the good instead of the bad! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

We sure wish you would post more....I think you need to relook at the conversations....Personally I haven't seen a lot of fighting...especially not lately and this group of people have great camaraderie.
There is no way you can compare this place to a chat room...if you do then maybe you've never been to a public chatroom. We are all pretty close for how far away we live and the age differance is what really impresses me the most...we get along rather smoothly.
So....Dreamer...give us another try...realize not everyone agrees...Except that the BEATLES RULE. And Have Fun!

Nice replies, Rellevart and Rigby. Actually, I'm not surprised that you feel the way you feel, Dreamer, since you're an older member of this forum. Most of the older (not meaning older as in age) members feel the same way I think, because this place has grown so much. Maybe you feel a little overwhelmed? Of course there are going to be some arguments and disagreements with as many people as we have here from all over the world! It would be odd (and pretty boring) if we didn't argue about some things. Even if we aren't ALWAYS talking about the Beatles in our conversations, that doesn't mean that we're not all here because of them......because we are! I'll use what Sleepy said as a perfect example....if you don't like a particular topic, then don't read it! Thanks to you, Sleepy, for making me realize that! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif So, I do hope you come back and post more. One more thing to say in response to the comraderie remark http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif ...... I think we have soooooo much of that here! I can't even begin to tell you how many friends I've made off of this forum! For example, Lucy and I are inseparable when it comes to our friendship. We talk everyday on our chat thingy, and she'll be visiting me soon. Boris and his girlfriend, Sara, are coming to visit me over Christmas! I'm going to go and visit Jerry next time I'm in California! I'm supposed to be going to visit Kat and Sleepy soon as well! Anyone else care to visit with me?? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif What in the world is not comraderish (I made that word up http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif ) about that?? Yuo haven't experienced gummi bears until you have had German gummi bears, nothing can compare after that. The last time I was able to have german gummi bears was about a year ago when I went to Disney's Epcot cause in the Walk of the worlds or whatever it's called they have a german section and they have a store with mostly all german exports.

"Ch-ch-ch-chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, ch-ch-chip and Dale, when there's danger, no no it never fails once they're involved somehow whatever's wrong is solved!"
"Zoobilee Zoo, Zoobilee Zoo, magic and wonder are waiting for you, it's as close as a dream and the skies are the brightest blue. Welcome to Zoobilee Zoo."
Those were SO the days!

Yeah, I remember Andre the Giant. I saw a profile of him on the Biography Channel about a year ago. That was a very sad story. He seemed like a nice guy.
Remember the Ford Falcon and the lightbulb and the slogan, "Drive a Ford! IT'S A BETTER IDEA!" Aaaah, just LOVE that classic Falcon! (the cool ones were the 1960-1965 models).
Remember the Dodge Dart custom? That was a darn good car! I learned to drive on one of those. That was a DARN GOOD CAR! I LOVE DARTS! DARTS ARE SO COOOOOOOL!
Remember when you saw Imperial Margarine commercials with the slogan, "Imperial Margarine! Fit for a king!" People who ate the stuff wore way out crowns. That always made me laugh.
I miss the Ford Falcon. It really was a better idea. I also miss the delicious veggie yam pecan tamales that Whole Foods in my town used to sell. They were delicious. I sure wish Whole Foods would bring them back.
I miss Beatle boots.
I would have loved to go to a theater packed with loud, raucous, fun loving Beatles fans when "A Hard Day's Night" hit the theater last winter. I saw it in the theater a few more times, but each time I was the only one who fit the above description. I wish we ALL could have been there. We would know every line and could have had lots of fun acting it out.

Sweet!! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the bomb diggity! Personally, Donatello was my favorite.
