Better than "A Hard Day's Night"? I hardly think so. It's not bad enough that they appropriated the name of the best NFL team alive who's gonna whoop up on everybody next year and win the Super Bowl by at least 28 points, but... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/confused.gif I've forgotten my other point. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/blush.gif

Great taste! At least it isn't the Saints...

Oh, and on Bud Adams, he's all right. At least he had the sense to bring his team to our fair city! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/teeth1.gif

Well, I have to support the Saints too! They were a much better team this year.

The reason I asked about Bud, is because he's my Uncle! He's not a very well liked man in Houston. Oh well, he's family, we learn to deal! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

If there's one thing other than the Beatles I know about, it's football. The "original" Titans are now known as the New York Jets. From 1960-1962, they called themselves the Titans.

Yeah Tim, I loved the "Love Ya Blue" back in the 80's.......especially because Blue was my last name before I got married! And yes Kat, it is very cool that he's my Uncle! Getting to go to all of the games and being in the owners box are a real treat! Football has always been a huge part of my life, Can't wait for next season!http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I can't wait either, jami. I do believe that the Saints will make the next step towards the Super Bowl this coming season. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

We haven't been to a game since the team has moved, but we're planning on it this year. I'll see what I can do, Mindgames!http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

I sure hope so, Kat. We've all been waiting for this for a really long time. The new team looks great, so maybe so!

Picture this: Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints, Super Bowl 2002. Score-Titans 59, Saints 14. And the crowd goes wild! And Steve McNair and Eddie George and Jeff Fisher are all elected to the US House of Representatives in the next election! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

BTW I heard a rumor that the Saints will soon be moving to a new city. Is this true, Louisiana people? Could it be Houston? Texas does't have a NFL team anymore (other than the Cowboys, and they're just a joke nowadays.)

In 2002 the Houston Texans join the NFL.
Third club to bear the Texans name.
The other 2 are currently--?

Actually, yes, I've heard this rumor as well, Mindgames. I heard two possibilities would be somewhere outside of Biloxi or maybe Los Angeles. I heard it could happen within a year or two. I sure hope not......even though they haven't been the best NFL team, it's fun to have something like that around here to support.

I read somewhere that legislation was being done to keep the Saints in New Orleans. The owner, Tom Benson, really doesn't want to move, but if things don't work out in the revenue department, it might be time for them to pack their bags. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry3.gif

I think you have the scores reversed there, mate. I see it as this:
Saints 35
Titans 29

Supr Bowl MVP: Ricky Williams http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif
