Well, I finally saw U2 last night at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim. I must say that it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. They really played well, and they didn't screw around with the arrangements a lot, which is something I just can't stand. Like when I saw Springsteen - he played this awful version of "Born In The USA" with an out of tune acoustic. I mean, that song was probably the reason many people were there in the first place, and he went and ruined it (in my opinion). Anyway, U2 definitely still have their act together. And Bono kept his politcal preaching to a minimum. It was so sweet to finally hear in concert some of the songs I grew up with and have heard a thousand times on the radio. All in all, a great show.

I remember U2's concert here in Brisbane a few years back, it was really quite spectacular. The lighting display and everything, as well as their performance, was truly awesome. Incidentally, and in keeping with the trivia theme we have going, Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA was the first ever CD pressed in the US.

Oooooh lucky you, Jerry! I love U2. Never seen them, but I'd love to. Glad you had such a good time!

Two of my mates are going to see U2 in concert later on this year when they play in the UK somewhere. They bought their tickets for £45 each, and now they're officially worth about £350.

Not bad!
Some songs of U2 are good. I love 'In The Name of Love', and 'The Sweetest Thing', but I'm not the greatest fan that ever lived.

One of my best friends is a huge fan of theirs and will be going to their concerts here in Chicago in May. I'll have to tell her what you said, Jerry!

Oh I love U2. Some of their songs are simply amazing. My favourite one is "Stay". But they also bring back painful memories because some girl I knew some time ago ( http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/ponytail.gif ) was (and still is) a huge fan of them. So every time they come to the radio... Well it makes me sad. Anyways, their last CD "All That You Can't Leave Behind" is amazing, and very Beatle-flavoured, especially in songs like "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of", "Kite" and "Grace". Highly reccomendable.
