We must ALL band together aginst the evil being done in Quebec-the Free Trade of The Americas Agreement.
This accord if ratified will be totally evil,in the following ways:
1) Basically,IMO,it guts ALL labour laws. Since NAFTA,the standard for living for workers in Mexico has gone down,not up. We are losing well-paid manufacturing jobs,as the plutocrats (with help from their lapdogs,such as Dubya),are "Send the jobs to a country with no Unions or Labour laws,and we can pay 15 cents an hour and make an even larger profit".
2)The environment suffers. After all,why have clean air and water when there is no fiscal profit in it is the way of Business.
3)The stripping of political power from the average people. What they are building,this "New World Of Freedom",is basically your ultrawealthy(such as Bill Gates) gettiing to rule the woorld for their benefit. Government is no longer for the average workerbut for the multinational company.
All of the above are tied together in the destruction of personal freedom in the name of Capitalism. The idea of Capitalism is that the suffering of the masses is good as it can mean more financial profit for those at the top.
Also,the idea that elected governments make laws ois dying. WEe must make it to where the busimesses have the right to basically overwrite ythose laws that lessen profit (as has happened to mexico and Canada under NAFTA).
We must put humanity over profit!!
We must destroy the Reagan/Bush Capitalist ideal the instead of the economy working for the people,the people must work for the economy. We have made ourselves slaves to the ecomony,we have made that this is to be our servant,our master. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/scream1.gif
