Dhani's music career isnt really an issue. Dhani appears to be a very fine young man. I am sure that he will thrive at anything he tries. And, I truly believe that the true George Harrison fans will never compare Dhani or his music to his fathers, because the true George Harrison fans and believers know that there will never be anyone else in the world like George, son, or not. And, on that note, I think that Dhani is smart enough to know that also. In terms of the person who said they "hope" that Dhani doesnt pull on Olivia's apron strings---i think that Dhani and his mother are very very close, its very obvious, so, one might think it appears that he is doing that, but I just think he is a young man who really adores his mother.
The most Dhani could ever hope that he learns from his father is spiritual wealth, not money. And the fact that he is the product of two very fine people. I am sure his father taught him to love God and respect life.
Dhani Harrison will be fine whether he chooses to be a gardner, musician, or anything else.

Welcome to the Palace Nina! You have started with a very good topic and an eloquently stated thought. I agree with your thoughts. It seems to me that Dhani has benefitted from his parents wisdom which is always good to see in any young person. He seems to be well grounded. I also believe he will thrive at whatever he chooses to do in life. The only comment I will make about his relationship with his mother (because my knowledge is so very limited, and it is surely non of my business) is that you can tell how a man treats women by the way they treat their mother and whomever he chooses to share his life with is going to be very lucky!

I think Dhani is the only musician in the world I could actually love as much as George. images/icons/smile.gif Something for me about Harrison genentics...

Dhani has expressed that his music tastes are different than George's~ that is, maybe sharing some but also expansive in other directions. I'm sure that will come across in his music. It is those other influences which will be so fascinating to hear peeking thorugh what he choses to express....how will he chose to word his lyrics? How will the music sound? What style will he take on? I cannot wait to know!

When Dhani speaks, he is so amazingly wise, and fresh and kind. His words are like spring. His words are always honest and ring so true.

I never thought I could love anyone close to as much as George, when I was younger, but then when Dhani was born (I was 12!), I knew I could! From the moment I saw his little face as a baby I loved him so so much.

I think it appears he and Olivia are close and I think that is wonderful. They need each other, like all families do. images/icons/smile.gif

I agree with everyone who has posted before me.

Dhani seems like a really good guy. I think George and Olivia taught him well, and he'll really do well for himself, not just as the son of a Beatle.

And I think whoever lands him, will be a lucky woman, because a guy who is good to his mother, is good to all women.

I will always have a special place in my heart for George, because he is one of my heroes. And I will have one for Dhani, because he's beautiful inside and out.

Just like his father.
