It's me again with yet another (probably silly) question. I have searched and searched and still do not know and was curious if anyone knew what George Harrison's middle name is?? (Yeah yeah i should know that being a GEORGIEgurl and all, but I'ma working on it. images/icons/grin.gif *)

Thanks all!

I don't think he has one. Some say his full name is George Harold Harrison but I'm not sure.

As far as I know, George doesn't have a middle name.

However, I am going to move this topic to Crackerbox Palace, where the real Geo experts are more likely to see it, and hopefully give you the right answer! images/icons/smile.gif

I've always thought it was Harold, although some people deny it... so I'm not really sure.

I'm pretty sure he did not have a middle name. I think the Harold thing was what GG had said his middle name was, figuring he had one, and it just stuck in people's minds. But, I'm no expert! images/icons/smile.gif

According to the books I've read, and to the websites I've visited, and to all the usual sources (like www.hariscruffs.com (http://www.hariscruffs.com) which has a very accurate chronology of his life and events), he did not have a middle name. His full name was George Harrison.

That's what I always figured...that he had no middle name, cause they would say if he did, in the anthology book or something.

Maybe he has a really embarrassing middle name like HossenfefferButtStink hehehe Just kidding.
But I know alot of people, who if they're middle names leaked out, they'd off themselves.
But I don't think that, he's just George Harrison. images/icons/smile.gif graemlins/heart2.gif

My boyfriend doesn't have a middle name either.
I kinda like that, cause then you don't have to deal with somone who hates thier middle name.

It is George Harrison, no middle name.

Not the most attractive evidence, but I have a copy of the original death certificate of the County of Los Angeles, which requires full name including middle name (if any).

Agree with everyone here. Only GG seems to think he has a middle name.

'cuse me, FPSHOT - a little 'off topic' message. images/icons/wink.gif Your mailbox....is full.

Since I was in middle school, I read both, but the majority say his full name was George Harrison. His sister said the same thing. Good grief, the man's sister ought to know! I also read that Louise the Younger saw her brother when he was hours old.

GG was not the only one who made that statement. Long before I'd ever heard of GG, I saw that in an article someone lent me. I was 15 at the time. I have come across both over the years, but knowing what I know about GG, you can't put stock in what he says. He'd probably say a Ford is a Honda or something. Not a good source.

Mark Shapiro gives the full three as well. I've seen the full 3 in magazine articles about the youngest Fab as well. When I was at the Fest in Boston, this guy had a magazine from England about George's death that gave all three. Seriously, I'd go with the man's birth and death records as well as what his own sister says.

I also saw a copy of the man's birth certificate - folks, he's George Harrison!

Rob,

I saw where somebody was selling George's death certificate on eBay. At the time it made me too sad so I didn't even look.

I am curious as to where you obtained your copy. At one time, I was too sad to deal with it, but now I admit I am interested.

I have it in a Harrison tribute magazine of Beatles Unlimited, the Dutch based International Beatles Fanclub.

Would not think/dream of buying it.

I did buy a copy of the marriage certificate of Olivia and George a few years ago.

I have a copy of his birth certificate which lists him as simply George Harrison. It also lists his birthday as February 25th, for those who like to play with that one.

I think I'll leave that one alone, FT. images/icons/smile.gif

I don't think there could be anything more morbid than buying a copy of someones death certificate. Bad enough to have ones you have to have.

I think it would be very cool to have a copy of his and Olivia's marriage certificate though. I'm not obsessed images/icons/wink.gif either, ringo_rama.

Well, we could assign him one? How about Winston, since that is an 'spare' one?

Yeah, for family histories, I can understand. But wouldn't it feel creepy for someone to have your marriage certificate or birth certificate? It would creep me out. And as far as the death cert...I am with you ST, bad enough to have to have the ones you must, who would want more. images/icons/frown.gif

Nobody could pay me to buy his death certificate.

The marriage certificate on the other hand would be a very nice thing to have. It is a document of a loving union and a happy and productive and positive period in George's life.

This is all very interesting.

This question has cropped up again. Good answers on this one.
