New Harrison boxed set features final full-length interview
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update (9/27/03) This boxed set will be available at Amazon.com soon.
(9/26/03) From Michel Michel Laverdière of XXI-21 Productions Inc.:
We have just released a boxset containing the CHANT AND BE HAPPY cd along with a 30-minute DVD of George Harrison's last full length interview. This interview was shot in 1998 by Philippe Auliac (who works for the BBC) in France when George released Ravi Shankar's CHANTS OF INDIA. Ravi speaks for approx. 8 minutes but the rest of the interview shows us George talking about his love of Indian music, his life with the Beatles and his views of the world today.
It is a very fine interview. The few short questions are in French but George and Ravi Shankar's replies are in English, of course. A most interesting interview. I have met Philippe recently in Montreal and he is a very interesting gentleman. He is a good friend of Yoko Ono as well.
And here's the press release:
