i plan on giving my late uncle's final words, 9 hrs.from now, and want to qoute the song All Things Must Pass which i heard the day of his death on the radio. (same song i heard last month on my grandmas death}
having probs. with "seems my love is up, and left you..." is that just a lover's breakup song? i may change it to "seems my TIME is up...
what do you think?

Joe, that is a wonderful idea.
As for this song, George himself describes it as 'all kinds of mystics and ex-mystics and including Timothy Leary in his psycedelic poems.
Personally I don't see this as a lover's break up song. I believe it is addressed to Paul or the Beatles as a band and his love for that.
"All Things Must Pass"
But at the same time I believe the meaning of the song is mixed and also meant to say
- my love has left you
- but
- it's not always gonna be this grey
"Sunrise doesn't last all morning"
"a cloudburst doesn't last all day"
so it's all temporary but all things must pass away
hope this makes some sense.
"Seems my time is up, I've left you and you're mourning" maybe? or just "with no warning"
I wish you strength today with your words I believe it is beautiful to add George's words.
"There'll come a time when all of us must leave here
Then nothing sister Mary can do
Will keep me here with you"
"But you're still with me"

All the best with your eulogy Joe. I'm sure this will go over nicely. Can't improve on what FPSHOT said.
