George Harrison plays guitar, bass guitar, harmonium and sings along with the devotees joined by Paul & Linda as well. Beautiful timeless song from India. Includes a FREE DVD of George Harrison's Last Full Length Interview. 30 minutes of conversation with George Harrison and world renowned sitar master, Ravi Shankar. George Harrison talks about his love for Indian music, his memories of the Beatle days and his thoughts about the world we live in. Produced by Philippe Auliac for the BBC, this DVD also includes Ravi Shankar 's video of the song « Tana Mana » from the CHANTS OF INDIA album. This DVD is playable in all zones around the world.

Additional comment from XXI;
We have just released a boxset containing the CHANT AND BE HAPPY cd along with a 30-minute DVD of George Harrison's last full length interview. This interview was shot in 1998 by Philippe Auliac (who works for the BBC) in France when George released Ravi Shankar's CHANTS OF INDIA. Ravi speaks for approx. 8 minutes but the rest of the interview shows us George talking about his love of Indian music, his life with the Beatles and his views of the world today.

It is a very fine interview. The few short questions are in French but George and Ravi Shankar's replies are in English, of course. A most interesting interview. I have met Philippe recently in Montreal and he is a very interesting gentleman. He is a good friend of Yoko Ono as well.

Anyone have any ordering links? I was always a little interested in this album, but since it has a free DVD, I really want this? BTW, how "free" is this DVD? Is the price the same as the CD was?

I'll have to put this on my wish list also! Sounds great. I think I heard a few soundbites from this interview once on a site somewhere quite some time ago. If it's the same one, the few bits I heard were amazing. images/icons/smile.gif

Thanks for this FPSHOT.

And do we think that maybe, just maybe, that HC is a bit excited about this! images/icons/wink.gif images/icons/smile.gif

It's at Amazon now to (Ono was just complaining tha no-one has any interest in it images/icons/wink.gif ). But I hope I can find it at a shop nearby (Leiden perhaps FPSHOT).
Since I didn't know about the release when it first came out, I missed all about this. So this isn't the complete Chants of India? album, I wanted to get that one. Sorry I haven't kept up with Ravi's projects.
