George has been nominated

Well it's official! George has officially been nominated for the Rock and roll Hall of Fame. I read it in the newspaper this morning. I certainly hope he gets in! Some of the other nominees that I recall are Prince, John Mellencamp, and ZZ Top.

That is WONDERFUL news! I love Mellencamp too and I am delighted he was nominated.

George is an EXCELLENT nominee - I think he should have been nominated long ago and I am glad he is being nominated now. His contributions to music and to countless lives in general (his influence will remain far reaching) is something to recognize, honor, cherish and celebrate.

I'll say good for the Harrison family. While it's nice to honor George, it would have been nicer to do so during his lifetime.

Great news!!!! I love the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and George def. deserves to be inducted. I'll have to make another vist to Cleveland, Ohio again sometime soon after graemlins/wink3.gif he gets inducted. George has made many and great contributions to music. His music is like no others.

I wish George HAD been nominated during his lifetime.

George was a musician, a musical purist in the truest sense of the term. He was true to his beliefs and his music and did not compromise either. That is something to be respected.

George was, from all accounts, a generous man. His work is his gift to everyone; his work reflected a deeply fascinating, multi-faceted person.

We love you, George. You were ALWAYS first class!

Wow!!! That is fabulous news!!! I can't think of anyone that is more deserving than George!!! He's one of the best that rock music has ever known! I think it's disgusting that the RRHOF has waited SO LONG to induct him (it certainly should have been done while he was still here--as George, that is...), but at least they are finally getting around to doing it!

Well, George deserves it beyond most. Too bad they didnt do it when he was still in the flesh here.
I also want John Mellencamp and Prince to win. Some folk dont like Prince, but hes the closest to a musical genius we've had in the past 20 years. Go and listen to his "Hits" discs, and you'll be amazed at the diversity of music!
