Last week I found a really torn and beat up copy of Splinter's debut album on Dark Horse - The Place I Love for 20p (which is about 14cents!!). I hadn't really expected to like it for some reason but to my surprise I found George all over the album - playing either guitar, dobro, mandolin and or bass on every track. What a find! I heartily recommend it to anyone who hasn't got it. Best of luck finding it for 14cents though.

Im a big fan of splinter - but you can't get their albums for love nor money! I think certainly in the case of The Place I Love, its really a case that they're Georges backing band.

I have the LP as well, but I bought it many years ago for a 'normal price'.

I believe the album as such is rare now as an LP and also downloads of Splinter material are hard to find.

I found some of the Splinter tracks on WinMX the other night, but the user went off line before my turn came round. Will try again, but yeah, they're sure hard to find.

I was able to download some Splinter tracks from the Harri-Spector Show: Drink All Day, The Place I Love(very nice), Somebody's City and Gravy Train(only 1:55 sec though). That was it for then.
