George, Olivia, Dhani,

On the 25th of February, the man who influenced so much the Sixtees, is remembered, being born Sixty years ago.

George, I know you're still there, in the other world. To me, you're still close by and your words and lifestyle still inspire me.

Olivia, Dhani, my thoughts are with you too, I know you are doing well. Thanks for all you do and did for George and for the way you moved on after his passing.

what to say?! i always seem stuck for words! i remember when i finally found a fan mail address to write to George all i can think of was...I LOVE YOU!!!!!!! that seemed kinda cheezy so never wrote to him, but even though i will never meet him in this material world, and didn't get to know him or love him as both of you do, many fans like myself have been touched and thankful for George's music, love and kindness, and loving him from afar has given us much joy images/icons/smile.gif so on this special, beautiful day, someone in Australia will join you both in loving and celebrating George Harrison, and what he has given us and continues to give us images/icons/smile.gif God bless George, and God bless you both images/icons/smile.gif

Happy Bithday George. You may not be here with us physically, but I am sure you are spiritually. You truly were a special man and I hope that you have found what you spent so much of your life looking for. You have given inspiration to so many, and we love you for it.

To Dhani and Olivia, I am sure this must be a difficult time for you. I wish you both love and happiness. I saw you at the Concert for George last year, and I was struck by the dignity you both showed. George was loved by so many, but I am sure that no one could love him as much as you both.

Peace and best wishes,

Dear Mrs. Harrison and Dhani,
I barely grief for the death of your love one last year. He had really played a part on my life especially on my friend's. I hope that this birthday of his will bring you happy memories instead of sorrowful ones. Thanks for your consideration.

"I want to tell you/My head is filled with things to say/When you're here/All those words, they seem to slip away...." What can I say? How can you pay tribute to such a great person? I'm at a loss for words, but...
George, happy birthday, wherever you are. I am sure you're hearing all this and watching over your family.
You've always been an inspiration and a very, very special person. You've impacted me - and continue to do so - in such a way that can never be erased; thank you so much for sharing your beautiful music and wisdom with us. We will always remember you for the inspiration you were to all of us. No matter what, your songs and your messages will still be heard. I'm sure you've found what you were looking for.
Olivia and Dhani, we fans love George, but I'm sure no one loved him more than you. I'd like to wish you all the very best for the future.
Thank you all for letting us hear "Brainwashed" - it is perhaps the most fitting tribute today.

Happy Birthday George! I know you are not here with us physically but your spirit is.

There is not a day goes by that I don't listen to your beautiful music. Your songs have moved me and spoken to me like no one else's ever have.

I don't know if you knew exactly how much you touched and inspired people's lives. You definitely touched and inspired mine and continue to do so. It is the same for all of us here. We love you. You were a special man and there will never be another like you.

Olivia and Dhani, I send you my love and wish you nothing but the best. I know that you will always do what's right in keeping George's memory alive as you love him so much. Thank you for sharing him with us, especially this last year when it must have been so hard for you.

George,

I learned to talk late and much of what I learned I learned from you. Your 1966 classic "I Want to Tell You" says so much to me and for me.

The best gift of all is being able to create something so wonderful that people want to share it, pass it down the generations and keep it part of their lives -- just knowing that you have imparted messages and created music that has had positive impacts on the lives of many is the best gift you can give.

Olivia and Dhani, prayers are being said for you. May this be a time of healing and bonding and celebrating the life of someone who has given so much and to you both for your love, imput and positive impact.

George
How little I knew you
You never knew me
But you touched my soul
Your music
Your words
Your way
Of life
All have touched me
All have affected me
And then
Like a soft, summer breeze
You were gone
But your memory
Lives on
On earth, no longer
But you remain
In my soul
We are “Never without you”

Dear George,

Happy Birthday!!

Although I didn't know you personally, it felt as though I knew you spirtually.

Through your songs it felt like I was stepping into your mind. Just a glimpse of the genius that you were. You will never know how much your songs have pulled me through hard times. It was like a ray of sunshine in a bleek and dark world.

I am sorry I never really gave your music a chance before you died. I can tell you know how much I really enjoy it.

I will always miss you. But you will live on in my heart through your wonderful music...

Thank you.

Love always,

When I learned the news of George's being born on the 24th as opposed to the 25th of February, I thought, how George! I think he is making this up to confound us obsessive fans and have a little laugh! But so much the better, now I celebrate George two days instead of one...and maybe about 363 more besides. images/icons/smile.gif

On George's 60th, I remember how in "I, Me, Mine" George recalled his being born, his soul entering the world in Liverpool..and why? What am I doing here, anyway?

It is a nice day to think about this. George said once he was born "seemingly to become Beatle George"...but moreover, he became such an amazing spiritual catalyst for so many, many people. George used his life, his voice, his spirit to share God's love, acting like a kind of spiritual domino.

What a lucky day for this world! Humanity well needs refresher courses in how to live and love, and to me, this is what George did with this life he was given.

There was a wonderful story of Ramakrishna's wife who continued after his passing to put out his plate of food each day and to turn down his bedclothes. She never cried over Ramakrishna's 'death'...instead, she became very wise, often advising the townspeople as her husband might have. He seemed so close still. Then, as she became ill herself and was about to leave the world, she became tearful. "Why are you crying now?", the townspeople asked her, "Why now??" "Because", she said, "when I pass away no one will take care of my husband. You can not even see him. You do not see he is as present as ever." To me, this story has brought so much happiness! It so recalls all the times George emphasized that this world is "just the physical". So, in such a spirit, I celebrate this wonderful, wonderful soul who took incarnation as "Beatle George"...knowing that George now has the extended ability to be with each of us as never before, celebrating along with us.

George, you know my heart.

Olivia and Dhani, All my deep love to you both, and the extended Harrison family as well.

Dear George,
I'd like to thank you for 30 plus years of music. "Soothing" is how I always described your music. It's like a warm blanket for my soul. Your
music helped me through my terrible teens. It took me to a place where I could just kick back and could relax. Just as it does even now.
I'd also like to thank you for showing me that one can find inner peace with God. Being raised Catholic, like you, I always felt my religion was forced upon me. God is much more than what meets the senses.
You have represented so much to me, throughout my life, more than I can ever express. I only hope that one day I'll be fortunate enough to see you and give you a hug for just being you.
And most of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Olivia and Dhani,
Thank you so much for keeping George's memory alive. He was a true, gentle spirit. Loved and adored by millions, just by being so kind and honest. How fortunate that he shared his last years with such a lovely woman and a wonderfully talented son. God Bless you both.

'I want to tell you, My head is filled with things to say, But when I'm with you (or even try to write to you) those things they seem to slip away.' Sorry George, but just how does one thank somebody for giving them 40 years old love, happiness, kindness, joy and wisdom - not to mention the wonderful music? All I can say is, from the bottom of my heart, a very sincere and deeply felt thank you. You have been a very special part of my life since I was 10 years old and, though you are no longer part of the material world you still continue to be'my friend George', a big influence on my life. I never got to actually meet you, although I always dreamed that I would, however you have always guided and inspired me.
On this very special day of yours I would like to add my own good wishes and love. Happy Birthday George, wherever you are.
Olivia and Dhani, my love and thoughts are with you on this sad but beautiful day. Thank you for sharing a wonderful man with the rest of us for so long. Take care.

This was posted on my radio station's webite. Take it for what it's worth. It does have a quote from George himself, clearing up the confusion:

For many years George Harrison believed he was born on February 25th, but in 1992, he announced, "I only learned recently after all these years that the date and time of my own birth have always been off by one calendar day and about a half hour on the clock." So in fact, though many still celebrate it on the 25th, his birthday really is February 24th. He would have been 60.

My prayers and condolences are with you, George's loved ones, today.
George may have saved my life; I will never know for sure, but the day he died I gave up cigarettes in his memory as a tribute to a great man's passing on to the larger life. I felt that it was the only thing I could really do to honor him, and he deserved to be honored.
George touched so many with his spiritual wisdom and his beautiful music. He carried himself with a quiet dignity I always admired. I never knew George, but I did know John, and he once told me that he loved George like a younger brother. John didn't throw the phrase "I love (insert name here)" casually, so I know he meant it.
Peace to you all, and love always.

George & Family:
You can't imagine how much we miss you down here in Argentina.
I've been borned in 1983, so you are the first beatle to whom I can say "see you later" to (I was not on this planet when John left).
You have inspired many people down here (specially bands), you taught us "love & peace", and we will always be very proud of you, because "music, love & peace" have no sex, no religion, no race, no nationality, no differences.

For the familiy, all my love; keep going, because George is always around, watching. Little boy: life is nice, though hard, some times; your dad must be very proud of you.

Louise Harrison: thank you very much for coming down here to Argentina and visiting us last year for the Latinamerican Beatle Week 2002.

Good luck and all my love for all of you.

Dear George,

Happy birthday, wherever you are. I like to think that you are reunited once again with your old friends that left this world before you... you know who they are. Perhaps you are still doing what you loved to do whilst you tried to escape from the craziness of this brainwashed planet. I like to think that you are growing a garden up there. I like to think that I will see that garden some day. I like to think that your garden remains in my soul, thanks to your legacy of music, love, spiritual life and devotion.

I am always thankful about that. You are the person that I admire the most, and the emptiness here is big since you left. However we can still feel you here, in one way or another.

We remembered you. Your precious music was a background in the day which, coincidentally, was my girlfriend's birthday. Together, we had a small celebration of your life and we remembered you... as you would have liked to be remembered: a musician, and a gardener. images/icons/smile.gif

We miss you, George, but you are always present in our hearts and in the hearts of all the people who has felt your music as trascendental parts of their lives.

And to the Harrison family, thank you for sharing so much with us. You didnt have to, but you did anyway. God bless you.

Hello,

It would be naive of me to say that I can understand what you have been through during the last few years. However, since George was loved by everybody who had a heart, then his life will be continually celebrated for many centuries to come.

George will never die to us. He will live on for eternity within his music, his personality and his soul.

I can just see him now writing another instrumental with John.

One final thing, I recently made a friend of mine buy a copy of the Beatles LP Abbey Road. His expression of delight when he listened to "Here Comes the Sun" was priceless!

All the best,

Mike.

Thank you Olivia and Dhani, for everything you did for my mentor, your husband and father. I never got to meet him, but through his songs and stories about him, I feel as if I knew him. A friend I never met. God Bless you.
