Our own "Breakfast w/ the beatles" here in Los Angeles will be having a LIVE tribute for George as well here at one of the hamburger joints in Hollywood and then on Tues (his actual b-day) well be gathering around the BEATLES STAR for a b-day vigil, should be really nice...

now George would not like gathering at such a place as a hamburger joint..

then sales of these poor slaughtered animals are going to rise when such a large gathering is there..

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of, too...but the intent is nice, if somewhat ill considered! They do serve veggie things, too, there... graemlins/sad3.gif
Chris Carter is a nice fellow, so maybe if a good veggie spot is suggested for next year~ perhaps things can change. images/icons/smile.gif Maybe broadcast from ISKCON restaurant!

Yeah the place is called HAMBURGER HAMLET...it's a joint on the Sunset Strip...actually his LIVE show starts at 9:00am this morning, so they'll be serving breakfast. Yeah maybe next year-they'll have it at a more appropriate place...

it should be so already Hari's Chick.
an ISKCON restaurant would be the perfect place.

it's really wrong to have such festivities in such a place where our murdered mother is eaten..

Could they have chosen a more innapropriate place? **sigh**

I'm going to get George a birthday card if I have the chance, dunno what I'll do with it after, but I'd like to anyway.

Peace,

A Burger joint does seem like a strange place to hold a tribute for George, but I guess they were trying to pick a place that they thought would attract the most number of people.

And like HC said, they serve veggie things too, so they have something for everyone. A more appropriate place would just have been better.

Recently there was a letter for auction on e-bay which was written by Louise Harrison in response to a fan. In the letter, George's mom states:

"George was born at 12.10am on the 25th of February..."

George's mum should know - she was there graemlins/wink1.gif
