Does anyone besides me think that Brainwashed was good enough to be nominated for a Grammy?

I do too, but the Grammys are C-R-A-P. Everyone knows Nelly and Eminem and other bad artists will dominate the show. That's why the ratings for last year's show were bad because the grammys are soooooo predictable.

I wonder if George would have felt at home between the MNM's, and artists who don't play instruments and only sing covers.

Well, like trocotroco74 said, Brainwashed won't be eligible to be nominated for a Grammy until 2004, and I definitely think it's good enough, but do you think the Grammy nominating committee will have it in their minds with it being released so late in 2002? Also, they seem to concentrate only on albums that topped the charts
or artists that the industry wants to promote.

Maybe the Grammy nominating committee will surprise me though. It would be great if Brainwashed would at least be nominated ! It deserves it, I think.

It would be interesting too, to see how George would have felt being nominated with the Eminems like FPSHOT mentioned.

Maybe it would have changed somewhat his opinion of the music business? graemlins/wink3.gif

its not like the Grammys being crap is something new...
I did a little searching and Please correct me if i'm wrong on any of these, i had limited sources to go on:
The Beatles only won album of the year ONCE (Sgt Pepper, 1968). Revolver is considered by most rock fans to be the greatest album of all time- but apparently it wasn't the greatest album of 1966, or '67-- but a couple Frank Sinatra albums won BOTH years (i'm not dissin' Frankie but Come On).
Song of the Year, Beatles only won that once (Michelle, 1967). and i don't think Elvis ever won any, but the Grammys aren't quite that old and lets face it, Rock & Roll wasn't exactly respected by Grammy voting "adults" in Elvis' days-- or in the Beatles' days for that matter.
Beatles were Best New Artist in 1965 too.

I've personally never had any respect for the Grammys, as had been said on here "They're Crap", always have been and likely always will be. at least the Oscars manage to get it right sometimes.
