The best guitar work to me is from 'Art Of Dying' which one can learn from the various bootleg versions from the All Things Must Pass sessions.

I believe (without checking) there are about 7 or 8 different takes, where the guitar riff is absolutely still leading, before Phil got his hands on it.

It Rocks !!

As for "The art of dying", I agree, great guitar work all arround. The accoustic version of it on "Beware of ABKCO" makes for interesting listening as well...

I really like his work on "What Goes On"~ through the whole song. I have been listening to that so much recently!

Specially the stereo version of 'What Goes On' gives the finger-picking country-like guitar style a lot of attention.

I also like his guitar playing in Tired of Midnight Blue. I love that bluesy, jazzy sound of his guitar mixing with David Foster's piano. Also Run So Far (especially that chiming?sound) and Never Get Over You from Brainwashed.

And Cloud 9 the way his guitar intertwines with Clapton's guitar. That's one of my favourites and really great to listen while closing your eyes and just immersing yourself in the sound.
