There was a site about a year back but it's been down for a quite time now. I got the lyrics to the songs you're referring from there.

I also tried to tab "Sat Singing" but it never worked out too well so I gave up.

I can write them lyrics down for you but it'll take some time since I'm terriibly busy at the moment.

I would like to find the chords for those songs, specially for Sat Singing and Lay His Head (I really love them both). By the way, I've been searching for good chord pages for Harrisongs, but all I've found are three or four pages with the same 20 songs (from ATMP, Material World and a few others). I can't believe there's nowhere I can find the chords for the rest of his songs!

I'll ask my hubby if he has time to figure out the chords for Lay His Head and Sat Singing. But first I'll have to pry the uke out of his hands!!! LOL Oh, and Flying Hour & Tears... too~

Here are the lyrics for Lay His Head:

I know that I seem strange to you sometimes
And who is it in here, you have often thought
But what can I tell you
That you don't know already?
Yes, even the times like this
Will roll away

But I love you (I love you)
I love you (I love you)
That's all that I ever really wanted

I know that it will work out all the same
And whoever it is in here can overcome the pain
A true friend's shoulder to lean on
I'll make it through
And over and over
I feel for you

But I love you (I love you)
I love you (I love you)
That's all that I ever really wanted

Oh yeah, you know that sometimes a man
He has nowhere to lay his head

But what can I tell you
That you don't know already?
Yes, even the worst time like this
Will blow away

But I love you (I love you)
I love you (I love you)
That's all that I ever really wanted

Oh yeah, you know that sometimes a man
He has nowhere to lay his head, nowhere, I said nowhere
Nowhere to lay his head

Oh what can I tell you
That you don't know already?

FLYING HOUR

ALL THROUGH MY LIFE I'VE BEEN HEARING
ALL ABOUT THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS.
IT MAKES NO DIFF'RENCE,
WHAT WAS OR WHAT MAY BE.
THE PAST IT IS GONE,
THE FUTURE MAY NOT BE AT ALL,
THE PRESENT IMPROVE THE FLYING HOUR.

SOME PEOPLE LOOK INTO THE FUTURE,
THEY'RE HOPING THAT THEY'LL SEE BETTER DAYS.
IT'S SUCH A SWEET THOUGHT,
IT'S SOMETHING THAT COULD BE.
THE PAST IT IS GONE,
THE FUTURE MAY NOT BE AT ALL,
THE PRESENT IMPROVE THE FLYING HOUR.

WHAT WAS AND WHAT MAY BE,
IS NOT HERE, IT IS NOT CLEAR TO ME.
RIGHT NOW IS THE ONE THING
THAT I CAN FEEL, THE ONE THING REAL TO ME,
UH-UH - UH-UH.

SO AS YOU SIT BACK TO REMEMBER
THAT WHICH YOU CANNOT RECALL.
IT MAKES NO DIFF'RENCE,
WHAT WAS OR WHAT MAY BE.
THE PAST IT IS GONE,
THE FUTURE MAY NOT BE AT ALL,
THE PRESENT IMPROVE THE FLYING HOUR.

IT MAKES NO DIFF'RENCE,
WHAT WAS OR WHAT MAY BE.
THE PAST IT IS GONE,
THE FUTURE MAY NOT BE AT ALL,
THE PRESENT IMPROVE THE FLYING HOUR, UH-UH, UH-UH.

THE PAST IT IS GONE,
THE FUTURE MAY NOT BE AT ALL,
THE PRESENT IMPROVE THE FLYING HOUR.

L'Angelo,
Don't need to write them, it would be too much work, only if you had them in files. Thank you!
But the other GH chords you said you have, are easy to send? Like Baltimore Oriole, for example...

------------------
"You need someone to show to you,
Illumine your consciousness,
Remove the dark from in you,
And give you that which you have lost..."

FPSHOT, I tried what you said, but as Hanstopo said, there's only the same 20 songs always...

Hari's, if you could do this... Everybody is searching for those chords!!!!

THANK YOU ALL!!!!

I've got most of the songs printed on paper or in songbooks. I don't mind writing them down. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Have you tried searching Baltimore Oriole under the name of its original performer Hoagy Charmichael?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Oh, I'm so excited. I've been playing it all day! My parents are REALLY fed up, but nevermind! Thank you very much. In fact the chord sequence is quite easy once you read it, even for someone like me, an amateur four-chord guitar player, but I'd have never figured it out by myself. Thank you once again!

My two guitar-songs of the moment: Faster (of course) and Blackbird (finally I know how to play it!).

Here's the scoop on Sat Singing~

My hubby is figuring it out for you guys as I type http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif ....BUT he says it may be different than you guys think in that it is arranged very jazzy, not at all in the strummy folk songy kind of way. There are a few guitar chords way buried far beneath the voices and bass and lead guitar. So, they all work together, through jazzy broken chords, to make this beautiful smooth sound the song has. George's voice is even double tracked here & there to achieve this effect!
Anyway, hahaha, we'll post the chords soon, and it's up to you guys to double track your voices! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif Or...maybe we will try Lay His Head! LOL

Hanstopo,
Had you try to play Horse to the Water? I'm also an amateur guitar player, but this one is very easy and it plays perfect with this guitar chords.
Maybe you already have it, but here it is:

HORSE TO THE WATER (co-written with Dhani Harrison)
(c) 2001 RIP Limited

Chords used:
EADGBE
Dm: xx0231
Am: x02210
E: 022100
F: x33211

Dm Am
You can take a horse to the water
E Am
You can't make him drink
F E Am
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Dm Am
A friend of mine in so much misery
Dm Am
Some people sail through life, he has struck a reef
Dm Am
Said, 'Hey man let's go out and get some wisdom'
F E Am
First he turned on me, then turned off his nervous system

You can take a horse to the water but
You can't make him drink
Oh no, oh no, oh no
You can have it all layed out in front
Of you but it still don't make you think
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Someone I love gotta problem
Some people thirst for truth, he would like a drink
Say man this could turn out to be risky
He said, 'Everything's OK', as he downed another bottle of whisky

A preacher out there warned me about Satan
Could be that he knows him
He acts like he's possessed
I said, 'Hey man let's hear about God realisation
For a change'
He said, 'We ain't got time for that
First you must hear the evils of fornication'

Thanks! I once saw it a couple of months ago, but I didn't remember it all. It's great because it's easy to play and it sounds really nice, and, of course, it's a great song. That guitar solo...well, that's another story for amateurs like me! At the moment I am playing Let It Roll, which is also very easy to play, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and, of course, Faster. Now with the inclusion of Horse To The Water, I think I have a great Harrisongs set!!

I wrote a topic about guitar chords in general today with a link to a very good site where you can see the finger position to all major chords.

The site is here
http://www.chordfind.com/

Now, for Harrisongs, if you can play the ones you mentioned it looks like you have the basic chords under control, like C, G, E, D, A, A minor. With those you can play all the Wilbury songs easily, a lot of George's songs and many of the pre 1966 Beatles songs.

You have to try the chords of Beautiful Girl that L'Angelo Misterioso sent to me. It's very easy and perfect! I can't stop playing!!!

BEAUTIFUL GIRL
(Harrison)

Intro:

A Dm6 A Dm6 A Dm6 E E7 E E7

A Dm6
Never seen such a beautiful girl
A Dm6
Got me shaking inside
A Dm6 E E7
Calling on me from deep within her eyes
A Dm6
Not the kind you go handing around
A Dm6
Want to keep her right there
A Dm6 E E7
But this love it don't come as no surprise

D E7 A E
And when I saw the way that she smiled at me
D E7 A E
I knew it there and then that she was A1
D E7 A E
And when I felt the way she was touching me
D E7 A E
Was something I had known I was waiting upon

Never seen such a beautiful girl
Had me quickly untied
Calling to me she made me realize
Not the kind that is lost or is found
She has always been there
A lover needed for this soul to survive

And when I saw the way that she smiled at me
I knew it there and then that she was A1
And when I felt the way she got through to me
Was something I had known I was waiting upon

Never seen such a beautiful girl
Got me shaking inside
Calling on me from deep within her eyes
Not the kind you go handing around
Want to keep her right there
But this love it don't come as no surprise
