I don't want to go to my record store on November 18th only to have the clerk tell me that the album is only coming the next day.

Nor do I want to go there on the 19th only to find out that I could have had it the day before.

Here in The Netherlands these stores have phones http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink1.gif
I also made a contact with my famous Bootleg store who tell me they may be able to get the special edition....and they'll call me - as they did with the Harri Spector bootleg release.

I would think it would be the 19th because new releases almost always come out on Tuesdays, in the US at least. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif Can't wait for my copy!!

To be honest, im quite (well very) disapointed by the new site..it tells us a little new information (Jon Lord is on Brainwashed!!), and of course the news itself, is GREAT!, but im really going to miss the Lotus leaf and flower..i went on there just a few days ago, and saw it for, what will, now be the last time.. and of course the old ATMP site was great aswell, the closest now is Capitol records site.. Devil and the deep blue sea, sounds like the bootleg version, but the quality is sure to be ALOT better, or it could be a unheard rehearsal or studio version from around the same time..cant wait!! hope the site gets better too! oh, and whats with George putting the cross next to the OM? ive never seen him do that like that before!!
------------------
"GOD, GOD, GOD, WONT YOU LEAD US THROUGH THIS MESS?!"
Also, i think its fairly obvious that Jeff Lynne's contributions, and those of Marc Mann, have been recently overdubbed..i have mixed feelings on this. Im sure the tracks were relatively complete, and i would still love to hear the versions George left..As a huge fan of Jeff Lynne, though, i know he will have done an amazing job..

I loved the lotus site too Maharishi, but “all things must pass!” I’m sure that when Brainwashed has been released there will be some sort of flash animation going on there. As for the Om and cross in George’s signature, I may be wrong, but I’m sure I’ve seen him use this before, although I can’t think where. However, as you'll know, on the insert sleeve of ‘Somewhere in England’ there’s an Om and cross either side of his tribute to John. Then there’s the gatefold sleeve of ‘Dark Horse’ and his lyrics to ‘Soft Touch’ in ‘I Me Mine’ where he also uses a variety of religious symbols.
“They call you Christ, Vsnu, Buddah, Jahovah, Our Lord
You are, Govindam, Bismillah, Creator of All…” ~ George (Life Itself)
“All are Krishna, all are one.” ~ George (Chant and be happy)

It's kind of interesting...when George was signing the "I, Me, Mine" books, on the later ones he put a cross to the left under his name and an Om under on the right. I read somewhere he also did this when he was writing his friends, too...I think some of the letters they reproduced in the Genesis books have this, too (I have to check).
I bet you know, but according to Depak Chopra, George was really, really into Gnostic Gospels and had a tremendous devotion to Jesus, too. I'll find the article for you guys. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
I have some words from Prabhupad, too...always wonderful to hear!!!
"Srila Prabhupada: Yes. "Christ" is another way of saying Krsta and Krsta is another way of pronouncing Krishna, the name of God. Jesus said that one should glorify the name of God, but yesterday I heard one theologian say that God has no name -- that we can call Him only "Father". A son may call his father "Father", but the father also has a specific name. Similarly, God is the general name of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, whose specific name is Krishna. Therefore whether you call God "Christ", "Krsta", or "Krishna", ultimately you are addressing the same Supreme Personality of Godhead."
I remember all those years ago, hearing at temple (ISKCON), that one can even chant "Hare Christos" to attain Krishna/Christ/God consciousness!
And this is my friend's website called "Christ and Krishna"!!! (It is wonderful...check out the beautiful picture at the top!!) It is all Prabhupad's references to Jesus! Enjoy!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
------------------
48 DAYS!!!!!
Of course, buts its unusual he put them both together like that, infact they could have been put that away..after all OM is the essence of everything, its appliciable to all faiths, and.. everything in general..

I sure do...I feel pretty lucky! When it was being issued, and folks were reserving their copies, I was maybe twelve years old!! hahaha...So, I asked my parents, who said, "NO!" So I reserved a copy anyway! It's funny, like a Monty Python skit, cuz once the book was issued, I had to walk miles and clear my meager bank account for the bank draft! Literally MILES! Then, when it arrived, I hid it for years!! So, it's my treasure, for sure, and very worth that long walk!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
