We live in a Harrison Friendly country Legs,
I also have no problem locating most of Hari's CD's in stores, but indeed, 331/3 is rare, Dark Horse too.
Don't know why.

Yesterday I was in a shop and they had all the cd's by George released on EMI/ parlaphone / APPLE. They were able to order these cd's again, and some time ago I had no problem ordering Extra Texture at my local record shop, however everytime I want to order an album released through Warner Brothers, from 33 1/3 to Darkhorse I get to hear that they can't order them.So George's albums released through Warner are out of print, not the ones released by EMI.
Why is that.

I never knew the EMI etc CDs had been deleted - I'm sure most of them are in my local shop as we speak. Perhaps a petition to Warner Brothers might be in order.

Here it seems hard to find 33 1/3, too. Also hard to find are George Harrison, Gone Troppo, & Somewhere in England. Maybe ebay is the best option, but pretty soon, hopefully, we'll have them all out again with the extra tracks, too!

I think the only ones that we can usually find here are All Things Must Pass and best of. I was able to find 33 & 1/3 and Gone Troppo many years ago. It would be quite nice if his work (with bonus track, of course!) would be re-released.

FPSHOT, is George Harrison (the album) available on CD in the Netherlands? I have read that the only country it was released in was Japan, and that was only for a few months and then deleted?
Maybe you could tell us what the largest online music store is in the Netherlands, and then people could order the official releases of those hard to find George CDs?

Don't know if I saw 'George Harrison' but next time I am shopping, I will have a look.
I don't know of any online Dutch music store who may have it, the ones I know don't have them, I see the CD's just in stores, Legs has the same experience I believe.

From what I've always understood,George never gave Warners permission to issue the Dark horse CDs from the 76-82 LPs.
They were to have been on Capitol/EMI in 1991,but were appearantly withdrawn before sale.

Thats what I'm talking about, these albums were released through Warner Bros. I have no problems ordering the EMI albums by George.Anything from Wonderwall music to the best of George Harrison, no problem.
A long time ago I saw the "Somewhere In England" "George Harrison" and "Gonne Troppo" cd's in the Netherlands, I only bought "George Harrison" cause it was the only album I didn't have on LP, I regret I didn't buy the others, but all the albums were avaiable on cd at one point.
The George Harrison cd I have is on the darkhorse/Warner Bros. label.
