Does anyone know about the rumors of the songs George left almost ready to make a new album after his death?

The only thing I know about it is that the title is Portrait of a Leg End, and one of the tracks is called "Brainwashed".
I hope they do decide to release it, as well as reissue all of his other albums.

I will bring forward the other topic about this.
Anyway, George stated last year that the title was not going to be Portrait Of A Leg End, but something like Volume One.

"George was a giant, a great, great soul, with all of the humanity, all of the wit and humor, all the wisdom, the spirituality, the common sense of a man and compassion for people.
The world is a profoundly emptier place without him."

I've heard about that name of the record, but nothing else since his death. Is there any version of this song somewhere?
The brazilian world winner race Emerson Fitipaldi was a great friend of George. He made an interview after George's death saying that he saw him some weeks before he died, and George showed him on the guitar some of the new songs of his new record. Since that, I only saw "Horse to the Water". Let's wait...

As well as "Brainwashed" there was also several mentions of a song called "Pisces Fish," a song he co-wrote with Jim Capaldi called "Love's Got A Hold On Me" and a song called "Rising Son." Hopefully there will also be a completed studio version of "If You Don't Know Where You're Going."

I don't know how others feel about it, but I hope they release it in November near the one year mark of....you know.
Maybe I won't be as sad, having his new songs to enjoy. George's music has so much healing power anyway. I just hope November is not too painful. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/sad1.gif

“Friends are all souls that we’ve known in other lives. We’re drawn to each other. That’s how I feel about friends. Even if I’ve only known them for a day, it doesn’t matter. I’m not going to wait till I’ve known them two years, because anyway we have met somewhere before, you know.” - George Harrison
There is also "Valentine", and one on motor racing..dont know if he actually recorded "love has got a hold on me", it was played in concert by Dave Mason and Capaldi, and they wanted him to have it..

"Doing The Bonzo Dog" sounds like too flippant a title to be included on such an important set of posthumous recordings. I could be wrong but it sounds like a song in the tradition of His Name Is Legs and Wilbury Twist. I would prefer to see it on the rumoured Bonzos tribute album.

You may remember that long ago "The Pirate Song" was very popular when things like Napster etc. did not exist yet.
And other than the title, who knows; it may be a wonderful melody.
But I agree on what you say about the quality on songs, the 'Legs' song was OK but well placed at the end of the album (oops, now my Dutch Buddy will comment) and I was lucky that Photograph and You And Me Babe made up for Raymond who sailed away.
Still a matter of taste though.

You are all giving names of songs, but did you hear one of them or only heard about them? Where can I find those? In imesh?

It's a great album closer, you have to sit through the whole album to hear the highlight!.
If you mean however that it was right to put such song away in the end cause...

To add; we follow the newspages and download sites almost daily, so in case there is any news about George's new material, you can be sure it is being reported at Crackerbox Palace with great pleasure and with high priority.

Since George and Dhani (and Jim Keltner) it's unlikely any of the new George songs are "out there," unless someone at Warner Bros have leaked out some bootlegs. I'd be very interested if anything does come up on Imesh, Kazaa or Audiogalaxy. Nonetheless "If You Don't Know Where You're Going" should be there.

I doubt it is on Audiogalaxy cauese that site is down. But yes "If you don't know where you going" is out there. George played it for VH1.

Were you able to find the whole song of Prabhujee, by any chance? I have only been able to find the one that is the length of the one they showed~ about one minute long. On AG, the one I found played the one minute version, then switched it over to the mix from "Chants"...cheaters!
