George likes the words to Run of the mill.
It was the first song he ever wrote that looked like a poem on paper, whereas most of them don't seem much until you put the lyric with the tune.
It's like the North of England thing - Trouble at t'mill.

It was when Apple was getting crazy, Ringo wanted it blue, John wanted it white, Paul wanted it green and George wanted it orange. Paul was falling out with them all and going around Apple offices saying 'you're no good -everybody was just incompetent (the Spanish Inquisition sketch). It was that peiod, the problem of partnerships;

Everyone has choice
When to and not to raise their voices
It's you that decides...

Good lines in diplomacy. Love them!

That's a great song. Ya gotta love it. It's good to just lie on my bad and relax to. I'm weird.

Since the dawn of history -the few who own control/ Have bent and rewrote history-how they want it to go/ They try to control what we learn-and take away our rights/ 'Cause when the masses round the world unite-/ That's a force they can not fight

You're not weird. As long as you like anything by the Beatles or any of their solo works, there's no way you could be weird.

There is a beautiful demo of this song available with George on accoustic guitar only, singing with a very bright, clear voice.

Pure magix, should have been on ATMP.

Just bringing this one forward again, becauseof another topic about it.

Yahoo chat 2001
Q: In the Anthology book, you talk about the unwound G string. What is that? I play guitar and I'm not sure what you're talking about.
George: It's one of those little things that goes up your butt so that people can't see your pantylines.

It may be nice to read this story again, also because of a question in the Twoday's song topic graemlins/smile1.gif
