I can find something about most George albums to make them enjoyable to me but I agree on his self-titled 1979 release. It's beautiful... especially "Your Love Is Forever".
I am also in the minority however that I enjoy "Extra Texture"... most people hate that album when I bring it up.

Too hard to pick just one really, but if I had to I'd probably go with ATMP. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

This is harder than making a list of favorite songs.
Yet, ATMP because it was the first and so amazing.

This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number twenty-four on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number two.

"All Things Must Pass" is the only one I've heard entirely, and I think, even though there are lots of good songs in the other ones, this one should win because it was the first and because it was a triple vinyl. Plus it's in my humble opinion the best album ever released by a solo Beatle. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cool2.gif

Let me see, "Cloud nine" is very consistence, no weak songs on it, that has to be a favourite, but choosing one album, I even like "Extra Texture", but to name two more besides "Cloud nine", The "George Harrison" album also very strong, and ofcourse "ATMP".

My second favourite is 33 1/3 and in third would be Somewhere In England.
Interesting how his best period was his first 5 years with Warners'.

I should think so. Afterall, George was the so-called mastermind behind this concert. (With a little help from Ravi Shankar.)

That's what I thought someone would say. Good then. What a terrific album. George and Dylan are great but, for me Leon Russell steals the show! That was my first exposure to Leon when I got "Bangla Desh" in the mid 90's.
