Hi!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wave2.gif

All of us know that George have a wonderful songs, but what are the best???

I love 'So Sad', 'All Things Must Pass', 'Isn´t it a pity', 'I´d Have You Anytime', 'When we was fab' and so much others...

And about you?
What songs makes your heart sing along?

Ballad or SFC
Cloud 9
Cockamie business
Deep Blue
Flying hour
Handle with care
Inner light
Lay his head
Learning how to love you
Poor little girl
Red lady too
Tears of the world
This is love
That which I have lost

I will probably add some while this post is running.

I put a list on another board recently and had 26 or more and then forgot his Wilbury contributions. I've really pared this down to a minimum core of 12 favs. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/rocknroll.gif

MSL - both versions
Life Itself
Wake Up My Love
Cloud 9
That's What It Takes
Just For Today
This Is Love
Cheer Down
Poor Little Girl
Handle With Care
Heading For The Light
That Kind of Woman - EC's and Gary Moore's versions (but I think I prefer Gary Moore's)

Not 100% if you look at the last two, but the order came because I did it from a list of songs http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~garp/hari/alpha3.htm
which is efficient.

I'm almost sorry that I replied to this at all. There are so many excellent ones. Very few I don't thoroughly enjoy. Yesterday afternoon I was alone and listened to The Bangladesh Concert and Extra Texture. His work is sooo underrated.

The Bangla Desh Concert ; it has so many good things, but I always get shivers when

- the first guitar on Wah Wah starts
- when George leaves the stage during Bangla Desh and the band starts the final.

------------------
"You're killing me George, you've got me crying, you bugger" - Ringo's 1st reaction hearing George's recorded solo for King of broken hearts and 2 guitar lines for I'll be fine anyway, Dec. 1997

Sorry FPSHOT - I must be a bit thick - why?

Calico Skies - I think an apology from me is in order. I seemed to have killed your topic. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/dead1.gif
I was just in an introspective mood (something to be ignored). C'mon everyone, where are our favourite lists??

Maybe shivers is not the right word.

Thrills maybe, not tears in my eyes but thrills through my body. From excitement.

I don't believe in "best" or "worst" songs (or albums) because it's a matter of individual tastes & preferences...

Definitely my favorite, from the first time I had ever heard it, is "Isn't it a pity". George's voice...the guitar solo, when the drums kick in...the strings and, of course, the lyrics. Everytime I heard it, I tend to...http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cry2.gif

Other favorites (in random order): "This is love", "Faster" (I'M a BIG F1 fan...), "Shanghai surprise", "Woman don't you cry for me", "When we was fab" & "Ride Rajbun" (thanks to FPSHOT, I can't get that tune out of my head...not that I want to...).

Are we allowed to select songs he did with the Fab-4 and the TW's ?

Isn't it a pity ; which version 1 or 2. I guess 1.

Yes brings back memories for me too. I was in my school days where we had some parties and the slow dance was always good with songs of about 6 or 8 minutes long.....I had a list, maybe someone remembers Graveyard Train by Creedence CR, Nights in White Satin Album version and some more.

Maybe someone will also remember a one-day-fly band from I believe Luxembourg who had a hit with Daydream (for a couple of hours, for a couple of days).
That end had the same fade-out as Isn't it a pity.

Those good old days.
